This old impala is coming up nice mate, wife has a 67 Australian rhd I've just pulled off the road because they did a terrible restoration on it. Lots of parts in the dash are the same but all Australian delivered impalas use a 66 dash for Rh drive. Just finished the brakes on my old Chrysler regal se Aussie built Mopar then I'll put the impala in the garage. Need to drive the Chrysler anyway. I must say I'm very happy with the 327 I built , just used Edelbrock heads, air gap and 220 Lunati voodoo cam. Would give my LS1 an ass kicking. Stock gears to but T350, goes so well I don't want to take it off the road for 6 months. Needs the windscreen channel replaced for sure and behind the fenders looks bad . She bought this unseen but we have very few impals in Australia. Keep the work coming, that beast is looking great.
Your videos have been a great help with my car. I have a '70 impala, and mostly everything is the same minus a few designs. From the engine stuff to brake lines, etc. Cali must be so much easier to get parts, I'm in New England and it's devoid of impala/caprice parts.
I was just thinking to comment the other day and ask when a new impala video was coming. They have all been very helpful. I'm going to make a video soon just showing the progress on mine so far.
I haven’t had time to film on the impala because I’ve been working on a stubborn ski boat that doesn’t want to be on the water, but I’m getting back on the car, I’ll be sure to go check out ur vid
There is no bracket for the climate controls It takes a Hex head body style bolt (2) to hold it in. Be careful the frame of the controls are pot metal and can break easily if you put too big of bolt in there. Good luck
Just started watching your videos , pretty cool seeing fix the impala. I just got my 65 impala, but it needs rust work. Hopefully I get someone on it., I'm unable to fix. Are you in LA area?
Not sure, my car has no wiring yet, I ordered a wire harness but I haven’t installed it yet, should bolt up by ur kick panel kinda were ur e brake release lever is at
Is it possible to just take out the cluster without taking the dash all apart? I want to remove mine to clean it and do some minor repairs. Thanks! Great video!
I would look out for major rust on body and frame, make sure it hasn’t been in any major accidents that could have bent the frame, other than that u can get most of everything at classic industries

Yea, we’ll California is pretty much the lowrider state so any 4dr impala becomes a parts car, so it’s easy to find parts,
That first bracket up picked up and didn’t what it was for,it wraps around your rear tail lights

Its looking good! I'm working on a 70 monte carlo myself to. I'm from central California
Thanks man, I’m a big fan of those year Monte Carlos, good luck on ur build
Very Helpful I have a 66 4 Door, I wish you would’ve showed everything down to speedometer install.
I didn’t do the speedometer because I got to take the dash back apart to paint the inside so I can install my new American auto wire harness I got
Nice! Its been a minute since you dropped a video.
Yea, was working on other friends cars but I’m back on it

Thanks for the info, I’m just going to use a nut and bolt so I don’t break anything

No, I’m in the Sacramento area
Where does the ground wire to the cluster hook up from. Trying to get my lights working right on my 66 caprice.

Ok I’ll try that. Make sure you make a video on that wiring harness. Your videos have helped me out. Thank you

Not sure, I haven’t installed my cluster yet
Did you spray paint the dash bezel?
@@denisebarragan9993 no that’s how it came
He visto sus videos tendra uno como ajustar las puertas del impala 66 gracias
I'm trading for a 66 caprice anything I should look for.kind of scared of getting screwed but want it to build it

@@cali530marcos3 I know trunk and floor pan is rusted but frame has been painted and new rubbers on bushings
I think floors aren’t too hard to replace, the rear quarter panels on the other hand take a little more work and time
@@cali530marcos3 luckily those are decent enough for some body work just the floor pan and trunk floor
Glove box is a 65
What’s the difference between the 65-66, is it the impala emblem
@@cali530marcos3 that's a 65 glove box cover ,see the holes are for a molding 66 don't have a molding only a emblem almost like silver one
