Just for fun I grew some mushrooms during the covid scare. I really enjoyed it all! I want to start a farm now, not only to make $ but more so I can have access to the mushrooms I want. Lol thank you for these videos to help me get set up!
It's funny how the internet works. I'm originally from Devon and I now live in Sweden. While wasting time flicking through Instagram stories this advert appeared. First of all I've grown mushrooms before in a similar manner, secondly I felt like I've seen one of the guys before in real life & then found out they are based in Exeter which is around 30 minutes from my hoe town of Torquay. Hi guys, great video. One question I have is in relation to what you do with the chemical waste such as the lime baths with high Ph. Do you reuse it for several batches of substrate or does it need to be disposed after each use? How do you dispose this? I.e. do you need to neutralise this with acid?
As usual guys, your video has lots of wonderful things to offer anyone interested in mushrooms and or starting a small home business. I have had a lot success due to your video course and other information you have shared with the world. Thank you!

Awesome info! Can King oyster mushrooms be grown in buckets? I mean aren't they pretty big and heavy? How many times so far have you been able to reuse your buckets before they break? Can you please make a video on the buckets? How to get the air out when packing, how to temporarily seal the previously precut fruiting holes and best way to sterilize the small spaces of the lids and so forth..

Honestly, it was a very interesting video. Thank you for the effort and time you invested in creating this video. I was really interested to start a small business from growing mushrooms but I believe it is not feasible in Turkey. One Kilo of Mushroom in market is sold for 2 to 3 dollars depending on kind and season. If it will cost me 2 dollars per kilogram then there will be a loss because I still have to sell it to wholesale sellers who will eventually wants to sell it for end users for 2 to 3 dollars.
Currently trying coffee grounds fire logs. Had some success last time, trying again to get more yield. Sterile, oysters grow, but only a meagre 2nd flush last time.
Hi guys, having done my market research and established a significant demand for all types of mushrooms in my area, I've been reading up and researching the practicalities by following various channels on RUclips. I love your channel and am grateful for the many useful advice and tips provided and therefore, I would be grateful if you would be kind enough to answer the following. As a keen gardener, i follow the rule of sowing my crops weekly or every other week in order to harvest regularly ; I intend on starting with oyster mushrooms and haven't come across specific advice on how often I should be starting batchs of mushrooms in order to maintain a daily harvest. In other words, as space is a consideration, should I start a 2nd batch when the 1st is at the 'pin' stage or once I've began to harvest the 1st? ( i hope it makes sense!!). Thankyou, keep up the great work!
Great question - this all depends on your setup, and if you're buying in your substrate blocks, or making/inoculating your own... in the past we had a shipping container farm, and had one batch inoculating and at the same time another batch fruiting - that gave us large harvests which we would either sell, or preserve - often dehydrating/drying them. If it's at home, your idea of putting in a new batch as soon as the current one pins would work, and give you small, but regular harvests - I'd just make sure you can keep the humidity levels up, but I think your suggestion would work great!!
QUESTION: Could a PVC drinking water pipe serve as a quasi-log, similar to the bucket process? Could I re-purpose plastic/cardboard drinking containers, such as fizzy drink and/or milk bottles?
I would like to learn the whole process - from planting grass to preparing it to inoculate to harvest and sell. Will this course cover it all or it is just the part beyond buying from someone else the spawn and compost and then cultivating?

A few questions from a complete novice- After you collect the mushrooms when they have been fruited, do you completely discard the soil? Is the biggest issue finding the market/restaurants to buy from you? it is SUPER labor intensive. Filling bags, shaking, etc, even though i have a small closet grow space i spend about 1-2 hours a day maintaining everything. Finding customers isn't as hard as you would think.. and some mushrooms will continue fruiting after harvest, some have to be soaked and cold shocked to produce a second harvest.. some are just not worth a second flush.
