He was way underrated in college. I am an OU fan and was scared when we played Iowa state. He was an amazing qb in college, just never got much recognition
I attended Iowa State in the 1970s so I follow the team. I was excited when he made it thru his first 49er training camp. Despite living in Kansas City since 1977, I am now a Niners fan.

I totally admire and watch in awe as Brock lights up the NFL. I also love that he looks like he could audition at Christmas to be one of Santa's elves at the mall.
The thing that helps Purdy the most is the amount of weapons he has on offense and the oline equivalent of a concrete wall. His skills to dime the right target who is open is something that will be so fun to watch
I can't say that Brock will will a Super Bowl or several Super Bowls, I do not have a crystal ball. However I can tell you this as a 49er fan, his story is really inspiring my days with my daily activities, it is such a great thing to see the last pick of the draft, shutting mouths every week and he looks so calm when playing, I remember the scene from the movie Draft Day when Mr Weaver talked about Joe Montana. I'm not saying Borck will be the next Montana or Brady. Brock will be Brock Purdy and he'll generate his own history, but oh my god, as a fan, I'm so excited to watch him play and for sure he'll be our franchise QB for several years to come.

He sees the field better than any other quarterback, and he can look off defenders, scan, the reads extremely fast and find his target at least where that target will be. By the time he releases the ball, his vision is one of the kind, unprecedented. He will win the Super Bowl.

Honest. Purdy has shown great poise, a high degree of understanding of the system the 49ers run, and an accurate, not overly strong, throwing arm. Great?????? When he finally gets some real pressure (down two scores in the fourth quarter) from a great defense, we will know if GREAT applies.
Guessing it comes down to the Combine score. Stories like this and Brady's show that such a score can be almost meaningless when it comes to some players. I imagine there have been a few that could have been good or even great at NFL level that didn't make due to a poor Combine performance.
If the 49ers is a glimpse of what happens when you have the goat qb the patriots should be concerned because it might be 40 years before they get a great qb because the 9ers still haven't found one. They've found the best game managers of all time. I guest you can call them the bgmoat.
It kind of helps when you take over the QB position with one of the best TE in the game with Kittle. One of the best running backs in the game with McCaffrey. The best left tackle in Williams and a bunch of weapons like Aiyuk and Deebo. They also have one of the best defenses in the game. As bad as Garoppolo was and is now, he even went 6-2 with those weapons last year.
Jimmy G showed his weakness again when panic throwing this last Sunday. He always looked like a deer in headlights and would just have the ball up. I do not see this with Brock so far.
@@michaeljames3252 it’s because Brock isn’t playing under pressure and a lot of that is because of Shanahan. Lots of quick throws and YAC. Lots of runs that actually keeps defenses honest. Josh Jacobs hasn’t done much of anything yet and McDaniels has Garoppolo on these 5 step drops with a defender in his face before he completes that fifth step.

I think being a constant under dog is what gave Brock that fire. You could just tell from the first game how mentally fast and prepared he was.
