2022 draft was a weak QB draft

Here is the point that is always missed by clips like this and actually on tv sports shows. If Purdy or Brady have a bad game or 2 for whatever reason, both would be out of the NFL. You don't draft 6th and 7th rounders as starters, they are dratted as backup QBs. Or in the case of Purdy, backup to the backup. 1st through 2nd and maybe 3rd rounds, will stick around even if they have a bad game or 2, but not 6th and 7th rounders. The question should be, how many Purdys and Bradys are gone from the NFL having a bad game or 2 or no games at all. Could have been a different story for Purdy as Shanahan told 9er owner Jed York..... Jed York was quick to tell an amusing story of how Shanahan thought Purdy may have been the best quarterback on the roster-in a year that Trey Lance was planned to be the unquestioned starter. _“Coach came up to us after practice and said, “Hey, we gotta talk._ Pity we had to give up 3 1st round picks for Trey Lance. I don't blame Trey for that - that is all on Shanahan and Lynch, still we did end up with what should have been a 1st rounder in hindsight.

In my humble opinion MaHomes has already done more than Brady simply because 1: Patriots were in the WORST division period, not until the END of his career did ANY team in that division actually give them a run. While the Chiefs division not being that good is still leaps and bounds better then the Pats division. 2: Brady had some REALLY good Wide Outs, MaHomes not so much. Yet he has won and won big without the help of strong reliable wide outs (both had a great TE). 3: MaHomes has also done many things Brady did but at a younger age. Brady is good don't get me wrong, but MaHomes in my eyes has already beaten Brady.

Anybody that does not recognize that Mahomes is the best QB in the league right now (or at least top 3 for you delusional Bills and Ravens fans) has no concept of what is a great talent in the game. I hated John Elway with a fiery passion, but I always recognized that the man was a talent and I disliked him because he beat the Chiefs so often. People don't know how to be fans of the game anymore. Root for your team, boo your opponents, but recognize a generational talent when it's presented to you.
