It’s same thing with Bradley Beal I feel sorry for him because he’s a great player but he’s not going to win a ring with Washington I want him to get one but it’s better competition in league that his team can’t handle
Rondo was a elite playmaker and defender who would take over as a scorer when it was needed. He’s also a great rebounder as a guard who always had near triple doubles and he was the assist/steal leader multiple times.
Bro, if the definition of a 90+ ovr would be "Can lead a team to a championship" then a lot of people don't deserve to be in a 90 ovr club, not only these guy's you mentioned in this video. For example, do you think guy's like Klay Thompson, John Stockton or Kevin Love could lead a team to a championship in their prime? The answer is no, because they would need a co-star that is at least on their level or slightly lower to co-lead their team to a chip AT LEAST and maybe even that is not enough, depending on the competition they face
@safe Before roster updates. Whatever you did in the last season influenced what your rating would be in the next game. Say in NBA 2K7, Kobe, Wade and Lebron were 97 or 98 overall and tied for the best player. In 2K9 we had KG and Kobe and probably a couple more at 99 overall. This maybe 3 years a part release year wise, but Lebron was never a 99 overall player until 2K13 I believe.
Imo Draymond coming off the 2016 season is an obvious 90 (and if 2k were bumping anyone up from GS to a 90 it was Klay). That season he had all-time defensive impact (Warriors were the worst defence in the NBA with him off vs the second best with him on), is one of the greatest bigman playmakers ever and had a strong off-ball game complimented by his outlier 3pt shooting that season (~39%) adding to his spacing. His impact in that specific situation was legitimately MVP level and on any other random team he’d still be a strong All-NBA guy with that level of play.
Rajon rondo was at one point posting near triple double games every other game from 2012-2014. Now having said this, he was also letting a lot of shots in and even though he’s very defensive, he shouldn’t have been at highest a 86. He would career wise be an avg of 83. Seems more fair.

I think that if you are a borderline all star you should be minimum 88 or maybe 87 now for a 90 overall I would say 25ppg or elite defender with a decent offensive game should be enough
In 2016 dray was debated to be the mvp of the warriors if curry wasn’t going off. So I would say back then dray could def lead a team or was thought of to be able to. Don’t go off what they are now currently but what they were in their primes or peak. He was literally leading gsw when steph went down so to say he can’t lead a team in his prime i add is Ludacris. i dont get your take... Rondo, Draymond and others deserve those rating. I remember a play when Draymond guarded pg to center (i think that was against Portland) 90 overall club is not all about leading a team to a championship... for me its all about contributing a lot to make your team a championship contender.
They are 90 overalls because they perform at or above 90 overall for their best skill. Draymond is a 90+ defender, Rondo was a 90+ overall, defender and play iniator and passer. Round those stats up, you get 90+ overall, it’s just basketball. Devin booker is a 90+ overall because he is an elite scooter but he doesnt play a lick of defense and can’t pass make essentially for a star player. Hence the 90+ overall.
NBA has changed so much since these times tho. Pace, the amount of scoring. Comparing stats doesn't make too much sense. Rondo averaging 13 and 12 in 2012 when some teams were averaging games with 80-110 points in a game is insanely good. I'd say scoring really started to get crazy in 17-18. Draymond was a 90 overall at a certain point during 2K16, with the dynamic ratings. And during the 2017 season, Draymond was at his best offensively and defensively. He deserved a 90 imo. You have to consider the era. Like Shaq was an 100 overall at some point, the overalls don't really compare how they are now. The league is so different. Like hell, some ratings didn't even exist.
Rondo was deserving of a 90. Man was a statsheet stuffer...especially in prime time, We are talking about an elite defender...and no Haliburton is not as good on defense as Rondo. I think 90-93 ovr should be anybody that can carry a team to the playoffs or can be a great 2nd option to a superstar. For ex Tatum and Brown. Tatum is a clear cut superstar and Brown is a amazing 2nd option. 93+ should be reserved for superstars and 90-93 is for great 2nd options
Idea behind the video doesn’t make a lot of sense. If you’re 90 OVR, you’re an elite player. Tryin to find the worst of the elite isn’t that simple, they’re rated that high for a reason
I don’t accuse pac of clickbait at all but this falls under that category. These players deserved their ratings for the year that they had that respective rating. It’s not an accumulation of their rating of their entire career
Bro I’m 2:30 into the video and I already see a flaw in this dudes logic, he using the ratings for older games to justify draymond, he said in 2k16 “The best year for them, he’s only an 82” because in 2k17 he’s a 90. Bro the ratings are the start of the year ratings not updated to the end of the year, at the start of 2k16 it was still 2015 and they were just guessing how good he would be, after the season started and they went onto a 73-9 record his player rating was updated to 90, at the start of 2k17 they just kept that rating because why would you drop someone’s ovr before they even played a game. Obviously after roster updates his ovr went down, tell me why I know this? Because look up 2k11 ratings the one he’s using is madden ratings, they have Dirk at a 83, the team that won the championship that year the team in 2k11 is garbage because it’s just the start of the year ratings not updated ones. Love this videos Pac but you trippin
Draymond was a 90 bc of defensive and he was hitting 3s he was a really good playmaker. Rondo was a elite playmaker and elite defensive near triple double. KAT was 90 at 1 point but Al should of been 89.
I love yo Pac but the criteria for if they cant lead a team to championship is kinda wack cause Draymond who I agree probably doesn't deserve a 90 but I'm sorry Klay can not lead a team to a championship on his own so he should've been on the list to
Stop listening to this fool. You don’t compare nba2k rating to nba players. This man has no idea how good Marbury and Rondo was. Steph was still the star player for the Suns and Knicks and there was no one who can hold him from driving and scoring. For him to compare Zach Levine to Shareef Abdurhahim shows how deep his knowledge of the game. 🤫
I don’t like how he compares the scoring averages of players from the early 2000’s and before to stats from today. Like yeah obviously players today are going to score more across the board. The average points per game of every team in the league is up like 20 points from where it was 2 decades ago
some of these are correct, like mike finley, al jefferson and eddie jones but the game's dynamic of offering the 90's club has changed with the gameplay of the era.I wouldnt consider some of the early 2000s 90s club members as credible as the game wasnt really focusing on ratings at that time but making sure stars were up in attribute stats more than some. I remember how overpowered Shaq was and he could shoot jumpers. Until 2k9 I believe the ratings got more credibility Rajon and Draymond are deserving of their 90s rating based on the previous seasons that they had and the level of play and starpower in the league at the time. Comparing them with stars of today who contribute different statistics are not going to add up because the game has changed with different rules, a more fast paced, and three point loving stars.
Bro the rondo one you’re bugging bad rondo other than kg was the best defensive player on that team and was one of the best defenders at that time one of the greatest playmakers to ever touch the ball so him being on the list in general is every disrespectful and honestly that shows ur not that aware of basketball for u to even think he didn’t deserve to be a 90
Using your logic it should only be around 10, maybe 15 90+ overalls in the entire game lmao klay, rodman, melo, westbrook, pippen, AD, dame, PG etc etc obviously aren’t #1 options on championship teams
comparing the stats of current players to guys who peaked in 2009-2013 doesn’t make sense. Offense have grown exponentially sense then so of course current stars are gonna be scoring more.
Shareef was better than you think for a few seasons he was unstoppable Scoring was harder back then and not inflated like today's games where 3's and touchy fouls are called often

Draymond being thumbnail is disrespectful af. He was a like top 7 player in the league in 2016
24 and 8 in 2001 is basically 30 and 10 today
Oh hell no Rondo? Pac you casual lol
I don’t accuse pac of clickbait at all but this falls under that category. These players deserved their ratings for the year that they had that respective rating. It’s not an accumulation of their rating of their entire career
Hali is so much worse defensively than Rondo it isn’t even funny
obviously at the time they were all up there and better than most
That's back in the day players.. different eras
i didnt think rondo was that hard of a carry for the Celtics like damn
marbury was a bucket
KAT was a 95 in like 2k19 I think
Draymond deserved that 90
What is that site that you are using called?
Why hate on rondo???
lol I 100% appreciate the idea and the effort but I disagree with basically every point you made and the logic you used to get there
This logic makes no sense 💀
tyrese haliburton is just as good on defense as prime rondo?
mannn hell no
Most players 90's their stats were 90 ovr club worthy but in today's game it wouldn't be because the game evolved since then
Bro I’m 2:30 into the video and I already see a flaw in this dudes logic, he using the ratings for older games to justify draymond, he said in 2k16 “The best year for them, he’s only an 82” because in 2k17 he’s a 90.
Rondo shouldn't be here he could do it all when needed
He’s going by stats only 😂
Doesn't score 25 a game = trash
We gotta get your Basketball IQ up, jk
His name was literally Steve “Franchise”
Draymond was a 90 bc of defensive and he was hitting 3s he was a really good playmaker. Rondo was a elite playmaker and elite defensive near triple double. KAT was 90 at 1 point but Al should of been 89.
Bros running out of ideas
I think they confused Michael Finley with Michael jordan
I don’t like how he compares the scoring averages of players from the early 2000’s and before to stats from today. Like yeah obviously players today are going to score more across the board. The average points per game of every team in the league is up like 20 points from where it was 2 decades ago
Btw 2k changes all time ovr rating all the time literally each 2k game
DRAY DESERVED THAT
🔥🔥🔥
Instead of you saying why they didn’t deserve it you just compared them to other players ratings
Stephon is 99 in china👀
KAT was 90ovr in 2k18 and 2k20, in 2k19 he was 91ovr
some of these are correct, like mike finley, al jefferson and eddie jones but the game's dynamic of offering the 90's club has changed with the gameplay of the era.I wouldnt consider some of the early 2000s 90s club members as credible as the game wasnt really focusing on ratings at that time but making sure stars were up in attribute stats more than some.
Pippen, AD, Westbrook, Melo, Dame, and PG absolutely CAN and some even were #1 on championship teams
Yeah almost everyone there could absolutely do it
I personally believe 95+ are overalls to lead to a championship
what website is this?
90 overall was never players who could lead their teams to championships.
comparing the stats of current players to guys who peaked in 2009-2013 doesn’t make sense. Offense have grown exponentially sense then so of course current stars are gonna be scoring more.
Shareef was better than you think for a few seasons he was unstoppable Scoring was harder back then and not inflated like today's games where 3's and touchy fouls are called often
All Jefferson was a problem tbh
What nba player lead there team to a nba championship? Not to the playoffs or finals but actually got a nba championship?
Base of ya logic den Klay shouldn’t be a 90 plus no matter what he did because he can’t lead no warriors by his self
ALL TIME ROSTERS ARE BOOSTED IF YOU AINT KNOW
