I am excited for Season 3. I know the trilogy is Diana&Mathew's story. But I would love a book about the DeClairmonts circa 1200-1300 with Phillipe, Ysabeau, Hugh, Baldwin, Godfrey, Mathew, etc.
Me too. In the time of Godfrey, Hugh, and the politics of Europe at the time. It would probably be too expensive with battles. But it would be fantastic. I like the Deborah writes.
@@megvoss3329 I would love to read a book that has all of them in it. If we could start with Phillipe, as he seems to be the oldest, that would be an amazing book!
Book 4 has been released, A Time's Convert. This is the blurb for it: Marcus Whitmore was made a vampire in the eighteenth century. Over two hundred years later, he finds himself in love with Phoebe Taylor, a human who decides to become a vampire herself. And with tradition enforcing separation from Marcus, Phoebe's transformation will prove as challenging now as it was for Marcus when he first encountered Matthew de Clermont, his sire. Time's Convert moves with epic sweep from the battlefields of the American Revolutionary War, through the treachery of the French Revolution to a bloody finale in New Orleans.
they do shoot on locations. its all up to many factors. The main one being AVAILABLITY...LOL availability as a space meaning they can use a real space for that period of time AND the costs to rent the space for that amount of time. If its a real place like a library it might be actually used by real people and to have to use the real set also means the scripts have to be done by the days they are scheduled for shooting....and location means EVERYONE that is in that scene has to be there! So a lot of elements to juggle on a TV or film set... They make these hasty decisions .. OH COOL LOCATION then a year later they are like OOOPS we cant get the building or actor is sick...blah blah we are fk''d ok tell the writers to rewrite those scenes because that library will not be in season 2..LOL. If the big studio is funding the production they want all the control..all the conveniences keep it all local on the key sets we can reshoot 100 times all year....this way they ensure the quality is top notch and no surprises!
Teresa is so beautiful and talented, and her hair is amazing, so naturally thick and wavy. Can’t wait for the 3rd season but so sad it’s finishing as well.
Just finished Book 1, and am devouring Book 2. May wait to watch the 3rd series before I finish the 3rd book, but either way, this adaptation has been so good! I cannot wait for the show to return.
Finally doing books right through a television show/series format which in my opinion is the only way to do books a justice because doing them in a movie format you lose a lot of the story because of limited 2 to 3 hours given for most movies just look at the Harry Potter books even the Twilight Saga and Vampire Academy suffered from the same movie time dilemma because a lot of source material was left out for example in Harry Potter most of the House Elf's and Poltergeist and ghost interactions were cut out of the movies.
Thank you to everyone who was involved in making this TV series! It's not just some usual romantic story. I was fascinated to find these deep ideas of what a great damage segregation, discrimination and blind desire for power can cause. Sad to see that in real life such ideas don't work at all... But if more people watched such smart movies maybe our society would start changing slowly... Anyways it's the best movie about magical creatures in the last 10 years minimum I think. Amazing cast and acting 💖 A rare case when I want to watch every episode over and over again! I'm disappointed only with the marketing which wasn't apparently great as I found this TV series only recently 😶🌫 Would be good to see some spin-offs! As apparently the story feels kind of incomplete -- what Diana and Matthew's children have become, how the world is changing thanks to new rules and becoming a better place for everyone, how magical creatures reveal themselves and live among humans with no fear... and many-many other things can be shown 😊
2 years on still love this mini series but a burning question remains: why, is the Star Chamber locked? Why all the fuss about putting keys together, lining up, ceremoniously opening the door to mysterious music when the room is just an empty round room with 9 leather directors chairs? I mean it's not like there's anything to steal in there??
Me: *spots Gallowglass in the back* ... *sighs* Gallowglass *bats eyes dreamily* I hope there really will be a book about him and possibly a spin off show.

I was not aware Teresa Palmer is Australian. Always felt her American accent in the series was abit out of sort. Her aussie accent sounded natural in this video. I reckon she should have kept her aussie accent in the series.
Love the show but as beautiful as Teresa is, I'm glad she didn't try a British accent. Giving her an American birthday accent was the best way to go. I just wish someone had explained how to pronounce "sept tours". She has an excuse. The Brits don't! They probably did 5 years of French at school and didn't learn the first thing about French pronunciation! 🤔
Love this show and it's a great story but disappointing season-ending I expected more. This season was too rushed. The fight scenes were so dull and ended way too fast. Wish Satu and Diana's magic fight scenes were intense with cool magic tricks but ended quickly. So effin disappointed. It's like GoT s8 all over again.
I'm sorry but this Glasgow storyline went on for too long for no reason. Why was he in love with Diana when he already knew her then watched her grow up. It's weird and doesn't add to the story for any reason.
I could not make it through season 2. It did not hold my interest. Elizabethan London was boring and confusing! There are British films and series that are meant for British audiences and others are meant for Americans. It is very hard for me to sometimes understand what is being said and the phrases only a Brit would know.
What you're saying makes no sense 😂😂I'm literally African and I understand all the phrases that Brit's use just say you're lazy and don't care for learning something different 😉
You need to broaden your horizons as America isn’t the center of the universe, there’s a whole big wide world out there full of centuries of history to discover and enjoy. By limiting yourself to just American centric tv or movies deprives you of the experience of understanding different cultures and traditions.
I understood everything just fine. Im american and I love listening to the different dialects from all over the UK 🇬🇧. You can always turn your subtitles on. That way you don't miss anything. A discovery of witches has become my favorite series. Well......second to OUTLANDER. 🥰

Kinda shocked that they created entire sets for the show I'm truly amazed by this I thought they filmed on location😂😂
It’s cheaper to make sets
Covid has put paid to much location work

Ill be honest, this series was new to me, bought it last week on dvd, already on to series 2, really enjoying it.

Sept Tours is pronounced exactly the same as set tour. the "s" at the end of tours, and "p" in sept are silent. ;)

Palmer's Aussie accent slips through sometimes.
Her role in warm bodies she had same problem occasionally when she spoke her Australian Accent came through quite clear.
