Matthew Goode is a wonderful actor, i’m so glad he is pushing his roles in different directions more than ever. I really hope more directors & producers earmark projects for him, and i cannot wait for him to work with Dexter Fletcher, Camille Griffin & Jane Tranter again. ❤ 🏆
I loved this movie. I was a bit hesitant going in that it would be one sided (Christian bashing) but it was respectful, with Matthew's character exhibiting his beliefs, not so much through words or argument, but through patience and a loving nature.
Anthony Hopkins is a fine actor. You feel your looking at Freud rather than Anthony Hopkins. He belongs up there with other icons like Jack Nicholson, Robert DiNero and all the other greats
Terrific interview! Matthew Goode is a marvelous actor. I wish he'd drop his "security blanket" (the beanie hats). It seems inappropriate to wear them, all the time.
@BicoastalKate, hmmm, there’s a lot of judgement in your comment. I caught his interview on the Today show. He kept running his hand through his hair and then apologized and explained he was growing it out for another upcoming row. It obviously was bothering him a little that day. Perhaps the beanie hats are simply a way to contain his hair when he’s forced to have it when it’s an uncomfortable length or when it’s not easy to do something with it as it’s growing out. I also caught another interview several years ago when the interviewer was surprised he still took the tube in London - He picked up the beanie hat and plopped it in and expressed it made him anonymous. He wasn’t recognized as much when he wore it. He seems to be a private person and he keeps his personal life private and he’s not on social media. Notice here, he waits until the interviewer says he’s asking his last question and he asks it of the director. Goode picks up his hat and puts it on because he’s getting to ready to go.
Is no one allowed to judge anything? I judged that the interview was excellent and that Matthew Goode is a marvelous actor. Those are judgements. I said that it "seems" to me that it's inappropriate to wear hats indoors. That's my opinion. I was reared to think that wearing hats indoors is impolite. I understand that not everyone feels that way. I didn't comment about his private life.
You seemed to forget your “security blanket” judgement. That’s a judgement. You mention nothing of indoors. You imply that it’s inappropriate to wear what you term, “security blanket” beanies all the time. I find that judgement and attribution for the reason he chooses to wear them inappropriate.
OK, that's fair. The "security blanket" comment *is* judgmental, in that I don't think (again ... my opinion) that he needs to cover his hair all the time, he which often does - even on the red carpet! I have wondered why he carries a beanie with him every place he goes. That reminds me of carrying a security blanket. On the other hand, none of my business.
I saw an interview several years ago and he was asked about the beanies. His reply was that his hair is wavy and unruly and that he is not very good at styling it. It’s easier to cover it up.
Matthew Goode is such an amazing actor🙌

Matthew Goode A Legend working with another Legend produces GOLD!

Matthew is like cognac, it only gets better over the years... and more intoxicating
Matthew is too Goode all around 🤙❣️
Great pun
Matthew Goode is utterly amazing! And incredibly handsome!
i love matthew goode sm 🥲💗
I just watched this - it was brilliant. I had seen it on stage and it wasn’t nearly as compelling.
Matthew ❤❤❤

I don’t think Anthony would compare himself there. Alec Guinness is more the comparison.
Handsome Aries bae😍😍😍🫠🫠🫠
Might have to watch this.
I didn't really like the flashbacks. I wanted more dialogue about the debate between C.S. Lewis and Freud.
Getting Oscar ❤
