My great great grandfather was a medicine man and paseed that recipe down thru the ages. When I was young, I wasn't very strong and caught colds pretty easily. My mom would make Onion Cough Syrup and I would take a little bottle of it to school with me. Mom made hers on a wood stove and I loved the smell of it and I loved to eat the onions. I am 75 years young and my kids make it for their kidlets. Thank you Rosemary Gladstar for this

I am Dominican and this has been passed down from my great great grandmother all the way down to me and my sisters and now to our kids...the exception was we use red onions not white and we don't cook it at all...we let it sit for 2 days and it is just so amazing how just two ingredients can be so powerful ❤️

I saw Rosemary on a Mother Earth seminar about depression and anxiety. While I don’t have problems with either condition generally, I was so impressed by her spirit and laughter. The audience was sad and looked totally joyless and didn’t laugh with her, I couldn’t help but think what an amazing presenter whose presence they were graced with. They totally did not get her but she kept trying to work with them. I wished I was there. I just discovered her and so love her. Im hooked! What a treasure. Thanks for sharing this.

In Poland, I learned just to use a sweet onion and sugar. Dice up a quarter onion and pour it into a cup. Liberally pour sugar all over it and mix it together. Put a lid on it, and come back in 6-12 hours. Everything inside will slow become a syrup. When it's liquid enough, press a spoon on the top and scoop the clear liquid on the top. Swallow that and the cough is gone as if it never existed. It actually tastes pretty good!

I don't heat mine at all. I just let it sit on the couple all day. I enjoy taking it just because as it's good. I use the used up onions in salad. It gives the salad a crunch and sweetness. I love it.

This is a amazingly effective cough remedy. I’m a singer from Colombia and my mom used to give me this when I was a child so I wouldn’t get cough and lose my voice! I’ve been doing it ever since and although I rarely get sick, this is my first remedy when I feel I’m getting a cold. Works every time. I don’t heat it up, I just leave it overnight and take a teaspoon first thing in the morning. Also, I don’t take more than a teaspoon because it upsets my stomach.

Thank you so much! I got one of your books awhile back after watching your video on making fire cider and it's been so helpful. I think the thing about mentioning your teachers (when you can) and who you learned from is important. It's a way of giving honor - and honor (like herbs) is a powerful, healing, empowering thing. Thanks so much for all you do!

Honey and Onion syrup really works,, My mom recommended it for me once because I had night coughing (because of a cold),, although it's not made the same way, just mixed a table spoon of honey with some Onion juice (without cooking) and had it before going to bed,, and It really worked :) !!

i was told to make it without cooking too. Just slice an onion and in a jar place a slice and 1 table spoon of honey, just continue to layer using all of the onion. Keep refrigerated. tfs

Coincidentally, I saw a video where a Mexican grandma used the same recipe except she insisted in using purple onions instead of whites, chopped a quarter finely and covered it with honey in a jar. Take one teaspoon of this mix in the morning and another at night.

You could try fire cider too.
But you may want to try to cleanse your system of the vaxxx. I hear pine needle tea is good.
Many people who got all of those things keep the virus ...and get it repeatedly.
Also Colemans mustard plaster on the chest is good and also a cooked onion concoction for your chest. You can find those here. I am just now recovering without aide of pharmaceuticals.
I need my immune system to work.
I have several autoimmune diseases but I want my system to work.
I haven't been ill with a cold and congestion in 10 years.

Honey lasts forever. Raw will crystallize which is normal and you can heat it up on a very low heat to get it in a more liquid state when it does crystallize ( low heat so you don't kill the good enzymes) . If you are not using it up right away and it will be crystallizing you might want to put your honey in glass mason jars to heat up in so you are not heating plastic.

Honey Colonna .... are you better now you don't need to go to a doctor and get drugs to heal from your condition but you would really need to listen learn and understand about natural healing and use natural remedies because they will quickly take away your symptoms I'll let you get on with your life but if you are the type of person that thinks that going to a medical doctor is a great thing and you continue to do that he will continue being sick and you will never get better but a quick way to get you better if you follow this is to take echinacea and goldenseal for a week and it must be two capsules 4 or 5 times a day and then also take at least 50 billion probiotic blend which would basically be one capsule the brand is ReNew Life there are a few others that will do a 50 billion capsule that will quickly get you back to normal as long as you're not the type of person who consumes a lot of cheese and milk during the day you want to really cut that out and definitely don't drink any Coke if you are addicted to the foods I just mentioned will be very likely that you will not be able to heal from the condition that you mention here

You really don’t have to heat it you can just let it sit on the counter for a significant amount of time say 24 hours then refrigerate. It may crystallize in the fridge but if you set the jar in a bowl or pot of warm water it will liquify to its original form.

this wont work with reguler pasturised honey from the store ?

    • @deetremonti5161
      @deetremonti5161 3 года назад

It will work but it won’t be quite as beneficial. If you can get raw that’s best. Honey from the store is pasteurized and it would not yield the benefits that raw honey that has never been heated so high would, but you would derive some benefit from the onion.

why dont you just eat the onion. wouldnt that be simple enough. Why go through an elaborate process. Or just blend it with the honey done.

She had it on the back of her old wood stove where it just stayed warm.
I made it just the other day
      I didn't cook it.
Its sitting on the counter top. I will put it in the fridge today or tomorrow
I want the syrup created by the onion and honey to be thin. Putting it in the fridge will thicken it a little. I have heard people say it lasts for months. Idk do your own research. It does work. I was very ill. Coughing till my head and ribs hurt. I used it for 3 days so far + fire cider the previous week and I am almost recovered.

@sylphofthewildwoods5518 wow i wrote this long ago...i did make it and enjoyed this way back when I was feeling unwell o whatever.
Its 2023...im experiencing a whole different thing. Natural remedies that i knew didn't work. I justc startrd snti bio its 3 weeks. And hust adddd a dextox protocol.. .the baths can be a little expensive ( 2 cups pure sea salt 2 cupsbaking soda 1 cup borax then put in warm tub. Bathe 30 min. And stay in this as water drains out completly. Then shower off. This pulls toxins.) Also drinking a pinch of borax in 16 ounces distilled water. One recommendation is drinking this 3x a day. A pinch is literally what your index and thumb grabs n holds naturally. I tried 1 dose of this yesterday today ill add. It just tasted like water. I saved a 16 oz bottle from another drink...i may have a type of candida. Its been awhile as for 2 months i was doing all natural procedures but it morphed and shifted...so im just trying on next steps. Im in sedona with a whole new life experience. ... doing best to stay in gratitude n upbeat. Ty.
