This is in Folkston, GA if you want to go here. This line has Amtrak and CSX action, also. There is also a Virtual Railfan cam there, if you don't want to travel there.
great catch btw that extra engine is a dash 8 it's the same nick pertaining to GE B32-8WH watching the Amtrak Auto Train is a sight to see half passenger/ half freight lol the extra engine is usually a "helper" to move the heavy train with more effort or to getting up any possible grades
As far as I know there are only a few and they usally are used for switchers in the yards at Sanford and Lorton. Occassionally they leave the yard on the train to change stations i guess...

That's the engine they use in the yard in Sanford Florida to haul the cars around. I see that when I'm going on the auto train to Lorton Virginia
The last time I saw an Amtrak engine like that was almost 2 years ago! Nice Catch!
+Dash 9 Railroad Productions i once saw this engine on a BNSF freight as the lead! very very rare
Hey guys did you know, I have never seen a passenger train before? I live in Anderson Indiana but they used to have a station.
Nice and that rare engine is called Dash 8
every once and a while I see one of those at Gaithersburg, MD
It’s not rare, there just taking it to D.C. for maintenance. It’s in that consist a few times a year. They use it as a switcher in Sanford
One quick question, does amtrak auto train has a number?? Just curious across my mind though. If not, then I understand.
P052 is the northbound auto train, P053 is southbound.
@@Major_Tom98 thanks for the info.

More of a uncommon rather than a rare.
What are those cars on the second half of the train?
Tofran Bohk
This is the Auto Train so the freight cars are the car carrying automobile cars. They also carry motorcycles as well.
Lots of people from the Northeast use this train to go south for the winter and take their vehicle with them.
Hey u started this vid early
***** it likely was 515, as that's the Sanford switcher loco.
looked like 514 or 504 to me
How is it rare to see a P32?

+JacksonAndLansing Railroad a D8 is a 6/4 axle loco and a D9 is a 6 axle loco so it's a D8
