I purchased a new Iver Johnson M1 carbine, with a 2" additional length barrel, back in the early 1990's. All around a great carbine and accurate enough out to 150 yards freehand. I still gun range shoot it in 2023. My dad was a Korean War Marine in combat infantry. He was a fan of the M1 Garands, but not the M1 carbine or later M16's.

Unlike the Universal M1 carbine, the Iver-Johnson M1 carbine was built to mil-spec

@@trapperjohn2462 Thanks, I did Not know. Really surprises me how costly these M1 Carbines are nowadays.

I bought an Iver-Johnson M1 Carbine back in the early 80s. I bought it new. Back them, it was about $300. It was a sweet shooter, unlike my Universal M1 carbine. The Universal would malfunction quite frequently. By not being mil-spec, I had to get parts directly from Universal. While Universal had good customer service, I got frustrated with it "breaking down" once or twice a year. I never had a problem with the Iver-Johnson, even after thousands of rounds being run through it.

@@trapperjohn2462 Thanks for confirming that the Iver-Johnson M1 Carbines are well built.

I had a Universal M1 many years ago, but I traded it for a Hi Point 9mm carbine. It was nice, and looking back I should have kept it; however, my Hi Point is a good shooter too.

When you do a video, quit jerking the rifle around. So the viewer can see what the h*** you're trying to show.
