Hi Shane…well it’s pissing down with rain in England , the dog wants a walk and the car has a flat in the drive… then up pops another offering from “ Guitar at work “ and suddenly all is fine with the world ….Cheers Shane another classic expertly taught.
Ha! That's so great - a big thank you for that MrDallman - my very best to you across the pond there. It's always fun making these videos and even more fun to hear from people like yourself who are enjoying them. My very best to you! Shane
It blows my mind you don’t have more subscribers. These are easily some of the best guitar lessons I’ve seen on RUclips. And your playing is phenomenal!
Man it's just really true.....if u pick up the instrument and play it every day even just 15 min here 30 min there over a string of days the brain does this crazy amazing job of taking over with the muscle memory stuff kicking in to where it's like playing THROUGH you! 🤙🏼
Love how well the rhythm from the Beat Buddy fills in and makes you sound like a full band. Hoping to get my own shortly. Another great lesson Shane, thanks again.
Thank you Wally - always fun to hear from you. Hope you do grab a Beatbuddy - it really makes a huge difference when you're practicing. More fun than a metronome and it serves the same purpose....then when you play with other people your sense of time is much improved. Cheers! Shane
Hi, Shane! I commented on Patreon yesterday (my name is Roxanne). This is a top-notch version of this song! Made me listen to it in a completely different way ~ it's truly unique and you did it justice. :)
Thank you Roxy - I really appreciate that. You're very supportive and encouraging. I hope you're doing well as can be and I always welcome your comments. Cheers! Shane
Thank you Mat - I really like this guitar. The pickup system is fabulous. You are also hearing it come through my lapel mic a bit too. Then I mix the PU and the mic. Cheers, Shane
Thank you Bud - always appreciate your input here. Hope you're doing well - Stay warm man. The truckers are on their way here....it's going to be quite a weekend in the nation's capital methinks. Cheers! Shane
Thank you Steve - always good to hear from you. I appreciate your encouragement - things are well as can be here although it's insanely cold and their is a huge convoy of truckers descending upon my city here in Ottawa this weekend. Gonna be crazy. Stay well - Cheers, Shane
Great lesson. Strengthens and toughens the fingers for fingerstyle. Shane should I be concerned about Barre chords squeaking as my hand slides up/down the neck? The strings grab on my callous. I've debated whether baby lotion would help. But that also softens the callous.
Thanks Ray - glad to have you here with us. A wee bit of squeak is completely acceptable. Happens to everyone. Elixir strings help to quiet for sure. Cheers, Shane
Hi Shane you always do a great job in your tutorials. I was wondering if you could breakdown the chord section and transitions to Bon Jovi Wanted Dead or Alive everyone focuses on hook but not the rest 6 or 12 string thanks much and appreciate all you do......
Nice Taylor , love Taylor guitars , really sounds good , I have a top end Alvarez that I’ve owned for almost 30 years, correct me if I’m wrong but don’t acoustic guitars tend to sound better as they age , properly taken care of of course
Thank you Vince....they do seem to get better with age for sure. As long as they are properly humidified. Hope you're having fun with it. Cheers, Shane
Hi. Great lesson! Love the play along. For your last play along did you use “Blues 2” with “standard” drum set on the Beat Buddy or a different drum set? Because it sounds different than mine and I like yours better!
Hey Zach - thanks for that. Very glad you enjoyed. I just used the default drum set for the Blues 2 pattern. Maybe yours has different default? Cheers! Shane
Please give more distance or cover the edge of your work top every time you move your guitar looks so close to being damaged hope you don’t mind me mentioning it

Thanks for saying what tempo (blues 2) you are using on the beatbuddy. Suggest the bpm at the beginning with the tempo, not at the end.
Thanks for that. Cheers, Shane

Hello Shane will you teach me how to play. Song for the Asking By Paul Simon and Garfunkel and blackbird by The Beatles Please. Thanks Shane God Bless
Great suggestions Kevin. Thank you. Cheers! Shane
You didn’t explain which strings to press down for the am7 or gm7
There is no Gm7 in this song Mark. And I definitely did mention the strings and fingering for the Am7 - very first chord in the video.
Watch at 0.75 speed - LOL
Please give more distance or cover the edge of your work top every time you move your guitar looks so close to being damaged hope you don’t mind me mentioning it
Thanks Dave - good call. Cheers, Shane
all I can do for you
I knew a girl like that once
Ha! Glad to have you here with us Kyle, Cheers, Shane
