The bottom feathers also are great for Deceivers. Every fly tier should have grizzly and brown capes in the material box, and that plus some flash and bucktail is about all you need for a Cockroach Deceiver. Super effective just about anywhere.

The bulk avoidance is so obvious now. As a beginner it’s something I could never get right, of course this was pre-RUclips. All these methods are so much easier now we have people like yourself making this content. Thank you. Question on the renomed scissors, do you find they are not always effective with nano thread 20/30D from Semperfli?
As always, an excellent presentation! Visually, though, for this one, I wish that you would have worn a light colored shirt. All black flies against a black background was not ideal.

Not much is effective with nano silk. It’s GSP and it cuts best when it’s under tension.
