"Killing people is easy. Just forget the taste of sugar." That scene made me hunt down this song in the ost cause of how that quote and this song rang through my head after hearing it.
So glad others felt the same. I feel that this track is used in the most perfect way each time it's implemented throughout the series. Always often paired with Monster's spiritual themes so well. Rosso's line was certainly the moment I knew I was going to be in for no ordinary story, and I was already hooked by the premise and characters by that time as it was. I don't think another anime will top this for me, and I am alright with it sitting on a pedestal to itself.
I love this track and the scene within which it takes place. You could really feel the healing process for all involved and Grimmer's reconciliation with himself and what he'd lost in 511 Kinderheim.
"The God of Peace is always busy. He is too busy to look in a mirror, and blows his horn every day. The God of Peace's horn makes everyone happy. The God of Peace is always busy. He is too busy to look in a mirror, and scatters magical water. The magical water creates green mountains, ripens crops, and makes flower gardens grow. The God of Peace is always busy. He is too busy to look in a mirror, and gives everyone a name. Your name is Otto. Your name is Hans. Your name is Thomas. Your name is Johan. Johan gave his hat to the god as a gift in return. The god was very happy. Because he wanted to see himself wearing the hat, he stood in front of a mirror for the first time. However, what he saw in the mirror was a demon. From inside the mirror, the demon spoke to him. I am you and you are me. Oh no! No one can live in peace with a demon like this! What should I do? So the troubled god . . ." Bůh Míru, Klaus Poppe.
@@weeb5100 This is about desires within a person. I don't know about the specific desire within self reflection "inside the mirror"/inside yourself could be nihilism or destruction (based on both Bonaparta and Johan's previous actions" or anything that is not a social norm., really. I just like how clever it is when it says that "Johan gave his hat to the god as a gift in return", because of how the name Johan means "God's gracious gift" so it's a nice contradiction.
Right!!! I just love the struggling battles and the reality that it shows. Just like in Professor Layton and the human problems that are shown in its cases
Yes exactly! I’m a huge fan of Professor Layton… it’s literally my favorite video game. I have just finished Monster, and I fell in love with this anime. And when I was in the middle of it, I realized that parallels tcould be drawn with Professor Layton: the characters, the music, the atmosphere, or even the plot. Of course these are two different works, but I can help but think there is a reason why I love them both so much.
Pretty much THE song that made me like this series way more. I like what they did differently here, but I am just not that attached to the characters. A lot of them come and go. Since the style is completely different, other than the main characters, the rest of the casts faces are almost forgettable.
Yeah, that's one of the pertinence I had with the series. The characters just come and go, most of them telling their own story. It would've been better if the series created a few side characters and worked on developing them. Then I would care a lot more for each character.
"There is a reason you were born! you were born because someone wanted you! you were definitley...you were definitley wanted by someone!"
Such a sensational scene
Milosh's little baby hands, clinging on Grimmer, keeps flashing in my head.

Love that quote.
RIP Martin , really one of the most underrated characters of all time

Adios, Señor Grimmer
The violin is too beautiful for my ears. I hear this piece in my heart instead.
"Not all the lives are made equal"
"You are wrong!, all the lives are equal. What's makes you think that you can stand above them?"
When this plays you know some shit is gonna go down.
Hell yeah
I cannot stress enough how motivating listening to this is while studying for an exam. Maximum capability
