Yeah that’s a good point seeing as there is not a spare underneath. We found the storage container for garbage and laundry very useful but I’m sure if we got a flat then we might feel differently.
Shower: Turn the top round knob to left, listen for pump to come on. Turn the handle to left, let water heat up. Turn to right and pull out to start water and use to regulate temp. of water. Hope this helps.
Thanks Pam! The dealer mentioned we had to give it 2 hours to heat up, but we’ve used it many times since then and it only took about twenty minutes. They did have to repair it because the knob kept falling off but all is working now!
I know this was posted over 6 months ago, but I just want to point out that the ProMaster is a Ram, not a Dodge. Although this Jayco Swift 20T is a 2022 model year, the Ram ProMaster 3500 with the 159" wheelbase & the extended body itself has to be a 2021 model year, as it still has the previous style dashboard & steering wheel, those were both restyled for the 2022 model year. Starting with the 2023 model year, there is now the super high roof option available for the extended ProMaster.
I appreciate you mentioning that. I didn't even realize Dodge and Ram had separated until a few months ago. And your right it is a 2021 ProMaster. Thanks, should have waited for the extended roof lol
Thanks for the video. We just got one and there is much to learn. There are tracks mounted on the wall above the benches. Do you know what they are for?
Hi Bonnie, thanks for watching and congrats on the new van! We were scratching at those things at first as well. They are called Ram Tough-Track mounts. You are supposed to be able to add different mounts for a camera, phone, etc. We found the mounts to be wicked expensive so we never ended up using them.
I have read some not so positive reviews but I have always been a Jayco fan. I’m considering the 2023. Any tips or thoughts u should consider before buying? It is only me and maybe a friend staying in the unit. Thanks for the great video.
Sorry for the late response! Thanks for watching. Looking back I would absolutely not by the RV Care Warranty. It also my be better to by used and not even use the Jayco Warranty because we had a bad experience with it. Long story short, we had several (mostly minor) issues that should have been taken care but after it was at the shop for 6 months there were many times that weren’t addressed. My opinion now is it may be better to by used. We’re actually released a detailed video on our one year review of it next, addressing all of our issues with it. But I do have to say, the RV itself was a blast and we had so much fun in it, I think the layout and functionality of it is terrific.
Thank you. Our pipes burst when we went to winterize it, we felt it wasn’t cold enough especially since our 20 year old camper didn’t have an issue. We plan on making a video on all of the issues we’ve had soon. Long story short we love it and it’s been worth it but the warranty was close to useless and we ended up doing a lot of the repairs ourselves. (They did fix the water line)
Nice tour! It looks like a good floor plan, it's nice that it has a sliding screen door instead of the screens with zippers like so many of the vans. Have you had it out in cold winter weather? Curious how well these are insulated. A van seems pretty ideal for winter activities.
We recently got the same van. Do you have any issues with the side door not unlocking with the key fob? We have to open the passenger door and open the sliding door from the inside. Not sure if there is a trick to it or we have a problem with the door.
Hi, thanks for watching and congrats on the new van. That sounds obnoxious. We realized that the unlock button on the key fob only opens the front doors, but there is another button, I think the middle one, that opens the back and sliding door. We do have a strange thing that happens where if you lock or unlock the van with the key fob, the orange parking lights turn on and eventually start flashing like it's possessed. If you hit the unlock or lock button again they shut off.
@@atravelpath thanks for the reply. We have tried the cargo lock on the fob but it still doesn’t open the door. Guess we need to find a repair shop. My husband saw the flashing light issue in the manual. Could be that one of your doors isn’t closed all the way.
Ok yeah I would say you'd want to get that looked at then. We made sure everything was closed but we'll have to take a look at that again. Thanks!@@rleach9543
Not right now but maybe one day. We spent two months in it on our trip. We really enjoyed our time and love the lifestyle. Not being able to travel with our dog made it tough ruclips.net/video/l2pU6eylJFM/видео.html
It certainly had it's share after we spent two months in it. We'll be uploading a review vide at some point soon. Mostly expected wear and tear. Overall happy with it. Thanks for the comment.
Slit a pool noodle and duck tape it on the end of that bike rack. Then when you number comes up and you get hit in the head you will only get a goose egg lump instead of needing stitches.
That’s a great idea. We actually ended up taking it off in a later video to put in a storage box for trash, but that certainly would have come in handy. Thank you for sharing that!

I love that the bathroom is in the back of your van.
Yeah this was definitely one of the better floor plans we saw. Not uncommon and probably the most practical.
Bike rack can be used to accommodate a spare tire.
Yeah that’s a good point seeing as there is not a spare underneath. We found the storage container for garbage and laundry very useful but I’m sure if we got a flat then we might feel differently.
Good review, especially the warnings about head smashing points!
😂 to this day I still haven’t hit my head!

No problem, hope the video helped. Enjoy!
Awesome tour of this van, we watched the whole video, very informative and educational.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed!
Thanks for the wonderful tour.

@@atravelpath You're welcome!
I count 9 stickers - good luck getting all of those off.
Some were harder than others, a few are still on lol

very good tour! have you any problems with the generator being so low to the ground?
Thanks! We did not because we were very careful with it but we did end up having to skip a few places and campsites because of how low it sits.
Nice tour of the Swift. I'm thinking of diving in and getting one. Have you had any problems with water or other leaks since you've bought it?

Thanks! I’d say it does a pretty good job staying warm, although I don’t have much to compare it to. The coldest we had it was about freezing.
@@atravelpath Nice, it would be interesting to see a long term review of the van.
Yeah we have been working on getting our two month review out there. Not sure if we could live in it forever lol

Does anyone ever lift this van, to protect the generator.
Do you live in the van full time?
Not right now but maybe one day. We spent two months in it on our trip. We really enjoyed our time and love the lifestyle. Not being able to travel with our dog made it tough

Hi, Is the toilet plastic or porcelain? Thanks
Hi Jerri, it is a plastic toilet. Thanks for watching

How many seatbelts?
Hi Danielle, there are 4 seatbelts
how much was it?
I think we got the sale price down to $103k, plus taxes and insurance
