    That's a nice looking watch! It goes great with a black tropic strap. In my opinion, it is a better watch than the Casio Duro.

      It's an awesome watch for its price point. I highly recommend it but wait for a sale. It's very comfortable to wear. I like it so much I ordered the same watch with the yacht master style bezel as well. I don't care for the polished center links on this bracelet but the yacht master style has a fully brushed bracelet so I can swap them. I don't own a Duro due to its 44mm size but I do like the Blue/Black Batman colorway!

      If you don't like the polished center links, you could try brushing the bracelet with a Scotch-Brite. @@mtbbiker6401

    I like that color way. As far as the bezel, do you actually use it for timing anything? Cause i dont.

    • @mtbbiker6401
      @mtbbiker6401  Год назад

      Nope. The bezel actually turns much easier off camera. Not sure why I had so much trouble in the video. It does align perfectly. The crown threads only engage 1.5 turns. Not sure if that is normal or not. I want to purchase the silver yacht master bezel version also. I like both styles but prefer fully brushed bracelet of the YM. I don't care for the center polished links on this watch.

    Got this watch about two weeks ago, can’t seem to get a good fit with the standard bracelet, always a little too tight or loose. What is the lug width because when I measure it it’s 21mm but the listing on AliX is showing 20mm.

    Pity they don't do this in more dial colours / multicoloured bezel combinations; I would happily have a collection of these.

      Yes, they are really missing out. All I see are blue/blue, green/black and black/black. The automatic is currently on sale for $52 USD. Good price for Seiko NH35 movement.

    2:28 Got the Watch... my Secondshand does not hit the Marks. I bothers me. Do I sent it back, or can I somehow Fix it?

    • @mtbbiker6401
      @mtbbiker6401  10 месяцев назад +3

      Well if it's consistently not hitting the marks, then the second hand can be removed and repositioned. You need special tools to do this. It's not uncommon for the second hand to not hit every mark even on some Swiss brands. When I set the second hand, I try to align it at 12:00 but as the hand works its way around the dial, it's not uncommon for it to be slightly off in certain positions. I suppose the easier option is to return it.

      @@mtbbiker6401 Yeah you are right and I heared it can be Common, even on high priced watched. Well I am a guy who has the tools and did some simple repairs on older and newer watches. Opening up and re aligning it at the 12 oclock possition would be my best bet. But i might save me the time and just return this one.
      Another Question: i love this watch, and want kinda the same again, but I saw the Steeldive Kermit (Automatic) has longer hour & seconds hands. I find that great for the legebillity of the dail. Should i get that instead and skip this one?

    • @mtbbiker6401

      @@darioscomicschool1111 The Steeldive SD1954 is a great choice for an automatic. I have two reviews on my channel. Grey and light blue versions. The fully lumed bezel is pretty cool on the Steeldive. Where did you buy the watch? I would be a little worried that the package might get lost if returned to China. Maybe try the repair first to see if you are happy with the results?

      @@darioscomicschool1111 So I have 3 of these watches. green bezel, black bezel and yacht master style. I just noticed on the black one that the second hand is lagging about 1/4 second each mark when the watch sits level. In vertical position the first 30 seconds is aligned due to gravity. Unfortunately this seems fairly common with cheap quartz movements. There is slack in the drive. I need to check the other two watches. I may attempt to reposition the second hand on this one.

      @@mtbbiker6401I youtubed a Video that Said that Quartz Watches can lag due to slag, or construction Sometimes thats even needed, so the gears to grind). And Temperatur is a factor. And It also mentioned that If you change the Time in the 9pm to 3am you could disturb the watches internal mechanics, due to its job changing the Date... and there was a trick to reverse that. I tried twice, but it didn't work for my watch. I uploaded a Review Video today.

    Damage the movement between 10-2? Isn’t that only for vintage mechanical watches?

    • @mtbbiker6401
      @mtbbiker6401  6 месяцев назад +1

      Seiko states in their manuals not to do it with their current automatics (4R35/4R36/NH35/NH36). "Do not set the date or the day of the week between 9:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m. ...may cause damage". Not sure about modern quartz. This watch uses Miyota 2115. Casio/Miyota just states "Avoid setting the day and day of the week between 8:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m. The day and day of the week may not change in the following day if you do." I just make it a habit not to do it on any of my watches.

    The problem with this watch is that it loses about 8 seconds in 3 months. That's a big disappointment. I bought for example several watches from a cheap supermarket called Aldi in Germany. They cost 10 Euros per watch and lose 1 or maybe 2 seconds per year!

    • @mtbbiker6401
      @mtbbiker6401  2 месяца назад

      That's unfortunate it's running slow. The watch uses a Miyota 2115 movement which has a listed accuracy of +/- 20 seconds per month. Not very accurate for a Japanese quartz movement. I am familiar with Aldi in the USA. Mostly a grocery store.
