If you’re talking to the police, you need a lawyer. If you’re guilty of something then you definitely need a lawyer. If you’re not guilty of something then you definitely need a lawyer.
You must be a lawyer. LOL
New Suspect Kit: one coke, one butterfinger, and a lawyer.
Never talk to the police.
Yes.
@@priscilalondon even better advice than having a lawyer
This is probably one of the most disturbing cases I’ve ever heard because not only did he commit these disgusting crimes, he also performed in a play right after committing them. Just a profound lack of empathy.
Yes, it's horrible wonder if his parents never gave him boundaries.
IT'S CALLED "ACTING", FOR A GOOD REASON. NOW, SINCE NO ONE NOTICED ANYTHING OUT OF THE ORDINARY- DOES THAT THEN MAKE HIM A "GOOD ACTOR"?
@@hankvandenakker4271
HE'S IN PRISON. SO NO, I GUESS.
@@hankvandenakker4271 It makes him a sociopath.
Absolutely disgusting! And when he tells the police what he did he was soooo cold! No emotion at all.
If he had only written a screenplay based on his dark intentions, rather than committing the actual murder, Netflix would have optioned it for far more than $62,000.
Could've acted in it too 😁
That's what I thought too. In other circumstances, where he didn't need the money or didn't need to involve a third party, he may have gotten away with it! The plot was as good as that from 'Strangers on a Train' by A. Hitchcock. There must be some truth in keeping it simple to avoid being caught when you decide to commit an crime. 🥴
Before taxes
I don't understand how someone can chop another person into pieces! Just doesn't compute!
I know right
Don’t sell yourself short. If someone harmed one of your children everything is on the table.

This might sound weird, because the content Dr. Grande talks about is often horrific, but these videos give me a sort of comfort. I like the consistency of the structure of the videos and I like how Dr. Grande explains everything clearly. These videos distract me from my anxiety. Thank you very much Dr. Grande! I really appreciate it.
Lize..... Exactly... I suffer from severe depression and anxiety.... And somehow watching Dr G...... Comforts and relieves my anxiety.......
@@stanford2590 to be honest yall, i have the same problems, but its just his calming voice and the way he talks. its not really the *most* healthy thing to consistently binge murder stories to relieve stress. i'm still doing it though.
@@yamaha5647.... So true... I also binge watch them..........Dr G has become like a friend in need... And a friend indeed... Weird... I guess but of it works for us.. Then hey... Let's keep listening to his calming voice.... Hehe. 👏👏👂😊
I totally agree
Same here. What I like is how Dr Grande structures his videos, his calm manner, and how he makes sense of situations.
This one of the most cold-blooded cases you have ever presented. It's hard to imagine being so devoid of empathy that one could murder two people merely for money.
...and not $10 million when you owe the mob or something, either, but - relatively - chump change, for a damn honeymoon.
This guy was dumber than Chris Watts. He gets a teenager to withdraw money from the victims account 🤣😂
Not only that he was willing to destroy a dead man's reputation by branding him a murderer
Don't delve too deep into true crime, then. Some of these cases are far worse than this, and not even materialistic in nature - just purely for the sake of tormenting someone before killing them.
@@SadeN_0 was about to say same
Dr Grande failed to mention a bit more about Sam, who was a decorated war soldier who put his life on the line many times to save his fellow soldiers. It was so sad that after serving his tours if duty he returned home, only to be shot in the back by someone whom he believed to be a friend.
Lol no one cares about that detail
@@joshuaboykin5009ongratulation! You have won the prize for the “this says so much more about you” moment. Your prize is an award for “the most stupid and ignorant comment ever”. 🎉🎉🎉 I seriously hope you were being facetious.
Just a note, I think it's also important to remember that Sam earned that money serving his country. He was a vet. It was incredibly difficult for his family during the time that the cops were saying he killed his friend Julie.
The deaths of Sam and Julie is heartbreaking. What an unbelievably cold person Daniel Wosniak is. He could've just delayed the wedding and saved up for it, or cancelled the honeymoon and taken it later. He ruined two families, as well as his own. I try not to be vindictive but I hope his life in prison is unbearable.
Combat pay. His Dad even says if he knew that small amount of money would lead to this murder he would have made him spend every dime. So awful
Im loving your consistency. We deff appreciate all your hard work. I know doing all that research takes so much time.
So I wanted to say thank you for your time, thoroughness, humor, etc. 💕
I was just thinking the same and you said it already wow lol
I would love to see Todd Grande analyze the case of Mark Castellano, who dumped the body of his girlfriend before going on Dr. Phil to get him to help him with his plea for her safe return.
The Behavior Panel just did an analysis of Mark Castellano's body language and had Phil McGraw on. I'm not fond of Dr. Phil but do appreciate the Behavior Panel's videos.
@@Adara007 Thanks for the heads-up. I went to school with him and we all thought he was lying about all kinds of things. Over the years, bit by bit, we we able to corroborate some of the stories he told in high school through his grandma or other friends. 10-15 years later we heard the Dr. Phil news, which really wasn't the shock one would imagine.
What a sicko!
Dr. Grande, could you analyze Rasputin? There’s a lot of historical material on him and a case could be made that he was a narcissist/sociopath. Very colorful character who had powerful influence over the Tzars of Russia. Would be a video that I feel a lot of people would be interested in.
🙌
He'd probably say he's a con artist.
The other night at work someone started singing the song Rasputin by Boney M and she asked who remembered the song. It turned out that I was the only one that knew he was a real person the other 3 thought he was only in the song.

I echoed your thoughts on the fiancé getting convicted before your analysis, it seemed unfair that she went to jail when she didn’t seem to be involved or do anything to be part of this.
If Daniel Wozniak starts a theater group in prison, he will at least have a captive audience to appreciate his fine acting abilities.
I would be pleased if inmates found constructive things to do and better yet found somthing they enjoy doing.
If he has the chance to be in a theater group, more power to him.
He is in prison to keep society safe.
Anyone who wishes him to suffer is exhibiting sadistic tendencies.
Finding a "good" excuse to project those sadistic tendencies is not acceptable.
Now if one has sadistic tendencies, do not suppress those desires.
Realise those are a product of the assent of man from their animal roots, right through till a completed human as an enlightened being.
Understand those desires are primitive and will be transended.
Some can Start now by not wishing someone should be beaten, and writing on a public forum.

I just listened to this on Mr BAllen’s podcast, first time I have cried in a long while. I came here hoping Dr. Grande could offer some kind understanding and he did not fail. US Army Veteran/PTSD current survivor.
Never making another friend, again.
I remember seeing this case on 20/20. It was so gruesome. That poor girl..
I could never figure out why he didn’t realize he couldn’t get access to the money because the accounts could be locked and getting $500 a day via ATM isn’t going to solve his problems. As for her... listen to the tapes. They talked in code and she didn’t seem to be surprised when he made some confessions. Also when Chris got his money she called to lure him back to the apartment. He thinks he may have been targeted as the first victim. She’s clearly involved.
Toking and watching Dr. Grande!🔥
I love, that your humor is as consistent, as your videos! It's memorable :D
He's one of the most frightening cases you've covered. So out of the blue.
I knew Sam and Julie…wasn’t expecting to see this. I know this story has been widely covered, but it never gets easier.
@Dr. Todd Grande - In the interrogation, the police told him that he wasn't a very good actor. It had me rolling.
“He traded one life sentence for another...” 🤣🤣🤣 Oh Dr. Grande, your humor gives me life.😅🙌🏼👌🏼
About the case, I also think that Daniel is a very dangerous type of criminal. He was liked by people in the community, someone who seemly had no reason for killing anyone nor expressed any red flags in his behavior and yet he murdered two people in the most gruesome and callous manner. Truly disturbing.
Thanks for another fantastic analysis.❤️
Btw, the new cacti addition on the lower shelf is very cute:)✨🌵
I've heard of this case a time or two before, but seeing the pictures of the victim and those guilty made it so much more real. I didn't realize how young all these people were!

Dr. Grande can you do a video on Whitney Houston and explain statistics we have surrounding violence in relationships? ☺️
I love Whitney Houston, also addiction because such relationship are based on that too and what many famous people do to survive the stressors.
The analysis of Rachel was excellent. She may have believed Sam was innocent at first. Had she been married to him, she would never have been required to testify at all. What a trauma to discover the truth! At worst, a suspended sentence and probation was another possibility.
Had Rachel gone to a lawyer before telling detectives about the backpack, she might have been able to strike a deal. It's the innocent mind that never thinks to do that.
An analysis of Inger Stevens would be appreciated, Dr. Grande. A beautiful actress and I never understood her suicide.
You have a great voice and your commentaries are factual and interesting

From what I remember ABC’s “The final act” covers this story really well. They start by focusing on Julie, start bringing in her connections to Sam and then seemingly out of left field you find out it was this Daniel guy. Which is how it happened in real life - out of nowhere. So senseless and so sad.

Police are misogynistic. Poor Rachel. I’m terrified of the rural cops around here - never talk to the police without an attorney? Yes. But they lie, even if you say nothing, it’s the sheriffs word against yours. Riveting content, thanks Dr. G.
Please cover Bob Crane of Hogan's Heroes fame. Thank you Dr. Grande.
Ohh that's a great idea!
An often overlooked fact in this case was that Sam suffered from PTSD and Wozniak knew this. He mentioned this to the police early on stating that he probably killed Julie in a manic state and then took off. Julie had ended her friendship with Sam once before, she had issues with erratic behavior, even his father said he had issues with PTSD. It was a perfect situation early on for Wozniak. Too bad the father pushed and pushed, knowing his son was not a killer!
Its insane he felt Sams combat pay pretty much money for not dying while serving in Iraq, Wozniak still felt completely entitled to Sams money. 62k? One year salary? Such greed. He only even knew because Sam just gave him $100. So much manipulation
Great analysis!!

Doc I’ve been going through your videos and out of all the shirts you’ve worn this one is my favorite! I LOVE the color! My second favorite is the pink.
I am so glad you're covering this case Dr. I've been waiting for this! 😁 I remember hearing about it a few years ago and just being completely horrified at how gruesome the crime was. Looking forward to your thoughts about this guy. It seems to me he put on a facade of the person that he wanted people to believe he was, but he was far from the man that he portrayed himself to be. Terribly tragic case.
You should see his interview on an A&E. Death Row episode where he completely lies even though he had already confessed. He brings up he tried to kill himself from shame, that he is accused of killing one friend and ... decapitated another....i didnt do that.." he then looks off dramatically. Its worse knowing Julies mother happened to see the show and fainted. She was shocked because they thought there would be no trial since he confessed then he does that. Gross
This guy was full of himself. How did he think he could get away with such a sloppy crime. He did for a little bit, but wow, this was awful.
I agree, I actually did an eye roll when Dr Grande said he threw body parts in the park! Rookie error! Seriously though, how awful to take two lives for a little bit of money.
Thanks, Doc.
