Fun fact: Grog blacking out and coming up with a coherent plan used to happen all the time in the campaign. Travis (Grog's player/VA) is a genuinely good strategist, so whenever the rest of the gang would get stuck in analysis paralysis, he'd come up with a good plan that's way too smart to be coming from Grog, then have Grog come back confused as to what he just said.
I'm sure others might have said this but in case not: In the actual campaign, Liam O'Brien (Vax) recently lost his mother to cancer. So when he gets the final hit and kill on Thordak, later on Liam said he envisioned himself killing the cancer that took his mother away. When, in the show, his Mom begins to speaking to Vex and Vax, in the actual campaign Liam starts his monologue on the 'How do you want to do this' to describe Thordak's kill by saying, 'I hear the voice of my mother in the morning.' And it was a very intense and beautiful moment.
Interesting thing you told pike to use different dice. During the campaign laura Bailey was known for putting her dice in "dice jail" for continuing to roll low. And she has a ton of dice
Yeeeeeeaaah, Ashley doesn’t really do rolling different dice. Ashley has 1 very weird die that only rolls properly 1 every 8 times, and we love her for it 😂
Most likely explanation for how Thordak knew they were coming: Raishan told him, but only because she wanted to get him away from his eggs and his lair, to make him more vulnerable. She was fine with all those soldiers walking into a trap because “strategy” and she was always in it for her own gain.
Fun fact: Allura's and Kima are Matt's self-insert couple of him and his wife. He's even said that Allura is based on him and Kima on Marisha. So he'll definitely protect them.
Kash did not die in the campaign. Many people, myself included, are not happy with this change. Also, Grog's "Fix him" line was way more impactful in the campaign. It was one of the standout moments. And yet it just gets glossed over in the show.
Oh hell yes. Pike went all Kamehameha on Thordak’s ass and I love it! Can I take a moment to say just how much I loved Vax’s final blow scene. They really adapted that legendary scene and did it true justice. It was so beautiful.
Now for the best bit of that campaign - the twins chasing down Ripley. To save herself, she trades them the soul harvesting gun with Percy's soul and the mad scientist method to bring someone back as a flesh-stitched fantasy cyborg badass.
03:40 "You were saying, dear?" - Zahra How did you hear Pike? Huh? Would have been Hilarious if she'd just decided to come in saying that, but no one had opened the door for her comment. "You were saying?" "I didn't say anything." "Oh..... ANYWAY, here's a way out"
Haven't seen the last three episodes yet and I haven't seen campaign one, so I don't know if it's a spoiler, but regarding Percy and the fact that he hasn't been revived yet. When they do revivify it is usually based on getting the soul back to the body. Orthax takes the souls of the ones that are killed by his weapons. What if Orthax is the reason they can't just revive Percy, and they have to somehow get Percy' soul back from it?
[Mod] Hey everyone! Remember to keep the comments free of any spoilers of future episodes for Mosco. Have fun & be creative with fake spoilers! Also, make sure we’re keeping the comments cool & comfortable for everyone here. Enjoy the reaction y’all!!!
when we were at Gary Con (named for Gary Gygax, co-creator of D&D) this year, there was a panel given by the Titmouse folks. I offered my condolences for just how hard it was going to be to animate this - the siege of Emon - and they absolutely killed it. obviously, Zerxus was just trying to break Pike up with the Everlight so he could get with her goddess, and make lots of half-devil/half-angel babies. Even if Zerxus is gay and the Everlight (at least in the original Pathfinder) is in a canonical throuple with two other goddesses.
The moment Pike finally gets the vestige to work is just *chef's kiss* - the writing (tossing aside the Everlight), the animation, the MUSIC! I know the recency bias is strong, but that moment for me is right up there with the final Agni Kai from AtLA as the absolute PINNACLE of Western animation
5:48 I forgot who cash was but when I saw this episode I was already starting to like him… and then he’s gone, I almost shred a tear 😭😭😭😭 6:00 Also those cries were disturbingly heartbreaking 💔💔💔💔 8:519:05 His acting here was so good, God I really miss Lance Reddick 😭😭😭🥺🥺🥺 10:57 At this point f**k the everlight because her healing powers barely even do anything, I’m glad she removed that necklace not having to relay that much on them, Also GOD THAT ANIMATION WAS BEAUTIFUL 11:22 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
8:05 "It's not about a right to life. It's about a choice. A choice we both need to make. A choice between a terrible mistake that can ruin lives and - F*ck it. I'm dropping the pretenses. We're aborting Cell."
"There's nothing we can do," before the title sequence? Okay, they're overdoing the drama, now. Needless to say, various aspects of this fight are different, especially Kash. My working theory is, they killed him so he couldn't attempt bringing Percy back. Pike's vestige wasn't an Iron Man chestpiece, and she never lost her faith in the Everlight. I'm guessing she can't do higher level spells, since the Hells... I dunno, maybe its a setup for the final season, or maybe even future campaigns? I never finished The Mighty Nein, and only seen clips of the third one... As for Raishan, if Thordak wasn't going to tell her the cure while he was alive, he'd do it dead. She had a scroll that dated back to the Age of Arcanum, if I recall correctly; a Speak With Dead spell that would compel the corpse to answer against its will. She used it immediately, and riding high on avenging his mother (as well as Keyleth's urging) Vax started a fight before the party could regroup. They ended up fighting her in Thordak's lair, and they only survived - more or less - because Raishan had better things to do. She whittled them down, trapped them inside, and teleported out with the corpse. Then Marisha rolled a nat1 trying to jump over lava... a fitting end for the encounter.
1. Pike lands into a coma 2. Delilah is brought back by the whispered one 3. Percy is brought back a vampire with Delilah's book 4. Grog falls in love 5. Raishan possesses Thordak's body 6. Kaylie is killed thanks to a mistake of Scanlan, after which he leaves the group 7. Key'leth becomes pregnant 8. The group splits up
I don't think the ever light was threatening Pike in hell I think it was more of a I can't help you here and you're holy they want your blood please please don't go her goddess seems to encourage her followers to be themselves I'm sure she's not angry with Pike for not listening maybe disappointed
SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER... we find out Vax and Vex were body swapped in their youth as a result of the dragon attack that killed their mother and - with the magical help of Alura and Gilmore - they get returned to their original bodies and Vex becomes the champion of the Matron of Ravens while Vax becomes the Lord of Whitestone.

I believe there was even a time where Grog took psychic damage from being a little too smart.
Yeah, oh the fun of having a barbarian with high wisdom but negative intelligence lol
I neeeed a compilation of these moments

That's where that line comes from? I've been trying to find that line for ages!! Thank you for accidentally helping me. 😆

Now Vex has just got to find Lady Briarwoods book in Whitestone and raise Percy as a vampire.
a Vampercy arc would be sick
Taliesin is rolling a new character. Get ready to meet Rusty, the dragonborn paladin!
Really? What happened to Ashton? I'm not up to date with C3 yet.

The part, next episode, where Vex and Vax recruit legendary exandrian hero Owlbear man to take out Raishan is hilarious.
It starts so uplifting and cool, but the upcoming Pike's villain arc is heartbreaking, so brace for that.
I love your reactions to this show 🤣 and honestly, I only started watching it because you had reacted to it, so thanks for that!

7:18 KEYTEOR!!!
The animation in this episode was truly on another level! So good
Pike's epic moment when she takes down Thordak is amazing especially when she finally uses her vestige without losing control of it
With Everything it took to Kill the Acid Dragon in season 2 it feel’s like the other More powerful dragons are getting beaten too easily.
The team is exponentially more powerful with each new vestige, not to mention the literal armies helping them fight Thordak.
Although Umbrasyl was also 1-shot with a overpowered vestige, it just took 3 fights for them to get it.
I hope Dale survived the battle. If he didn't make it I hope he at least got some vengeance for Anne.
Looking forward to Raishan getting turned into Keyleth's pet.
Show gets way to kinky. The duck scene was a bit much IMHO
@@EternalSentinalOh, you mean the tentacle duck monstrosity?
Now for the best bit of that campaign - the twins chasing down Ripley. To save herself, she trades them the soul harvesting gun with Percy's soul and the mad scientist method to bring someone back as a flesh-stitched fantasy cyborg badass.
While the rest go after Raishan, Scanlan and Grogg have to go back to hell and win Percy's soul from Xerxes trough a musical battle

Would have been Hilarious if she'd just decided to come in saying that, but no one had opened the door for her comment. "You were saying?" "I didn't say anything." "Oh..... ANYWAY, here's a way out"
Best in-universe answer I can think of is that Zahra was actively scrying on them as they made haste to join the fight.

There is a lot of discussion about this especially since the gun glows when Percy dies.

As someone who hasn't seen the campaign I'm pretty sure pike just abandoned the everlight and said "f it I don't need it"
can't wait to see your reaction to finding out this whole season was a dream sequence
I mean the raishan betrayal was bad, but it will hurt more when Keyleth betrays the group. But dragon keyleth looks so damn cool it balances out

This episode was a lot like an episode of Dragon Ball Z with Grogg acting like the Hulk. Hulk SM......punches things.😁
