- In this 3ABN-produced program, Shelley Quinn reviews the 8 Bible verses that refer to “the first day of the week” to examine the idea of Sunday sacredness. God created scientific cycles to measure a year, a month, and a day, but divinely established our weekly cycle as the identifying mark of His authority over our time. God blessed and sanctified the 7th day of the week, and claimed the Sabbath as the holy day of the Lord. When did worship get transferred from the 7th day to the 1st day of the week (Sunday)? Who is responsible for this change? It’s no secret! The Catholic Church admits there is not a single Scripture to support Sunday sacredness, but proudly claims the change was introduced by papal tradition, as the mark of papal authority in religious matters.

Most Christians don't even know why they worship on Sunday. They just assume it is the right thing to do because of nothing more than tradition. This is why it crucial to have a "Thus saith the Lord" when we follow doctrines and get it from the Bible.

When I was a child, I believed Sunday was the 7th day of the week because we went to church. I wondered why the calendars showed otherwise.
Mankind named the first day Sunday..to direct man away from the sabbathday with the intention of making it impossible for people to recognize the creator's day that is named bless and sanctified by Him God and set aside for holy use that is why we are to begin by referring to the days as named in GENESIS 1 and GENESIS 2 verse 3 ❤ blessings to you all

Let me just get this straight: It's a sin of the 4th Commandment by not observing the Sabbath.
Then tell me how a Christian going to church on Sunday automatically means they're not observing the Sabbath?
This does not make logical of rational sense whatsoever.
It may be true that Christians who go to church on Sunday are prone to forgetting about the Sabbath, but by no means does that mean Sunday church is the sin. It's not observing the Sabbath that's the sin.

Hi Shelly how are you?
Well i think i’m in a real pickle with My Lord and Savior..You see i’m a Seventh Day Adventist who by God’s guidance keeps the Sabbath. My dad is Baptist. I live with my dad because he has memory challenges. I have taken him to church with me several times and i always pray for him and my family as 99% of them are Baptist. My neice asked my dad if he wanted to go to his church on Sunday and naturally he said yes ,however i’m the one that has to assist him in getting ready etc for their service . My dad knows about the Sabbath, but with his dementia advancing he wants to be where he’s familiar at this point. Anyway, i felt conflicted for helping him worship on Sunday 😫I don’t want to have the mark in my hand or head when it comes to worshiping the beast , i don’t want to be guilty in God’s eyes. I pray for my dad’s conversion but i can’t make that choice for him. Did i do wrong by helping him get dressed to attend church on Sunday inspite his dementia?

@r.j.whitaker The Sabbath is a salvation issue. Yes, the Sabbath itself doesn't save anyone, as a matter of fact, not even the other 9 commandments (not the 9 suggestions), but we keep the Law because we're saved, not to be saved.
Sin is the transgresion of the Law. James 2 says that if we violate 1 commandment, we're guilty of violating all of them.
We are saved from sin, not in sin.
So yes, the Sabbath is a salvation issue.

What you are presenting is legalism and bondage,not salvation. Salvation is not dependent upon which sins we have committed, only that we repent and accept our lord's gracious invitation to be saved. All of us. No exceptions.
