it IS difficult to share the Good News in Cali and everybody IS too busy, I know because I live here. I work and live in a very populated city called Los Angeles, and my heart breaks to realize HOW MUCH we need to recieve God's Gift of Grace: CHRIST JESUS. Although, since I came across the Living Waters channel on RUclips , it has completely changed my perception and has inspired me with Hope. I've been listening to Todd since the old Way of the Master show, and have enjoyed it, even as a clear thinking charismatic! This book is one of the best I have read on the subject of types and shadows. His personality comes through in the writing and his knowledge is enlightening. I have given copies as gifts to young Christians who are seeking truth. Thanks guys!

It is somewhat disturbing that the mormon church advertises before the video with their false gospel. Who gets paid to run this ad. Most will skip the ad, as I generally do, but here it is, a counterfeit gospel, being shared before the Living Waters video. This is not right!

I am mystified by the very idea of Christian apologetics. What do we have to apologize for, or explain? We are not commanded to explain the Gospel to our audiences, until we get their approval. We are commanded to share the Gospel with the world. Unless God has decided someone is ready to receive the message, it will be like talking to your pet. It will only frustrate the both of you.
Billy Blazer Apologetics does not mean to apologize or to explain, it means to give an answer. it comes from 1 Peter 3:15 which says to always be prepared to 'make a defense' to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you. The greek word behind 'make a defense' is apologia, which is where the word apologetics comes from. It means to give a speech in defense of, to to speak on behalf of oneself or of others against accusations presumed to be false-‘to defend oneself.’ Just as evolutionism is apologetics for atheism, there are answers to all questions which form a consistent, coherent, and an adequate worldview from the biblical perspective. if we follow pauls example in (1 Corinthians 9) did apologetics also. peace.

Todd mentions there are still good churches, is there a resource with a list of good churches? I believe that my church is a good one, but usually when someone is in a bad church they don't realize it.
I used to likek Todd Friel until he was on a concorcium claiming that Pentecost was a once and only occurrance and cannot happen again! How does that explain all the Christians who claim the same experience happening to them (without the membership in one of those weird churches like Bethel) and can now understand all references to born-again in the bible.

@@earlysda Yes, you must keep all the commandments, or have faith in Jesus apart from works (Galatians 3:10). If we cannot keep the entire law, then as for our righteousness and salvation it is useless. In Christ we are dead to the law (Romans 7), and we do not live to it.

But go read those verses I mentioned, we have got to read them all and cant elevate any of them over another one. Another interesting one for this issue is John 9, all of it but particularly the end of it.
Every action we do matters, it affects you and everyone around you. Your very presence is changing the world, your very perspective changes the world in only two ways, negative and positive. There is no neutral. There are absolute truths, such as if you get hit in the face, it will hurt. If you jump, you will come back down. Whether people believe in the truth or not, the truth will remain the truth. God does care for us and He has left us in charge of the earth and its resources. Whether we decide to do good or bad, the guilt falls on us and not God. If people starve, it is not because of God. God has provided the land and the food. It is just man blocking and not distributing food for selfish reasons. How do you find God? You read the words that He has left you to know Him. First, you have to know who you are looking for before you start searching for Him. The best way to search for God and find Him is through his Holy words. Open up the Holy Bible and know Him. Story example: Officer: Find me the man that paints with water. Detective: Show me the man boss and I will find him. Officer: We have no picture of Him, but we do have a description of his likes, dislikes, his past actions, his paintings, his galleries and eyewitness details of him and the very art that is the apple of his eyes that he has preserved even though it was taken many times by different people, the painting has remained preserved. From this information, you will find him. It is all written there for you. Detective: No such man exists unless you show me the picture or him in person. Officer: I believe you are the detective and the information provided to you is more than enough to find the man we are looking for. I think you should start investigating the written descriptions before you cross him off and get answers. Each detail will give you more answers, as they all point to him.

I think you knew what I meant was the continuation of Pentecost in an individual’s Sealing/Personal awareness of the reality of Christ as witnessed to them by the Counselor/Comforter promised by our Lord. Much as it was an instant of revelation for the Apostles and ALL the remaining followers in the Upper Chamber that day. Including the guy who betrayed Christ 43 days earlier, a complete fail, who stood up and converted 9000 devout Jews soon after. You’ll find (you may have to look harder these days) that if you speak to someone like me who claims to have had the exact same experience as my Biblical brothers (apart from the Apostolic elements), with regard to the realization/enlightenment of God and self in the Messiah by the witness of Christ by the Holy Spirit, you’ll hear the exact same story. Unfortunately those who have not had the full encounter with Him are resorting to “doctrinizing” the born again experience. That makes me sad. Of course the seminal notion that you can be REBORN and not actually have a complete, utter and immediate awareness of that occurrence, even if you just look at it logically, is astounding. The fact that there are Christians who attest to such an experience in their real lives should give rise to SOME curiosity. But yes….the initial dispensation cannot by definition be repeated. But it can be initialized in an individual’s complete, intellectual, psychological and yes emotional conversion/transformation. How Bible Scholars can read Biblical words attesting to Transformation in the context of immediate change in the course of simple events and add of their own idea that this was referring to an eventual, gradual, change (which does happen afterwards and ongoing) defies logic. Ask yourself why Peter was so concerned with those believers who of course believed but didn’t know the witness of the Holy Spirit (and even of His existence). He swiftly moved to their rescue and remedy. To me an explanation of all this mitigating of the Born Again experience in these last days and the reducing of it to an inward, only seen in aggregate change in an individual can be summed up to me in this way: Reading the letters of the New Testament without the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit (described joyfully by Paul many times) is like reading someone else’s mail. I think it would be the same way Peter would have read it and understood it prior to Pentecost. Not quite a full understanding. The Old Testament is literally filled with so many things that would contradict the unitarian's view; verses such as Hosea 1:7, Zechariah 2:8-9, Genesis 18:2, 19:24 all show a compound unity in the Godhead that is proclaimed in Deuteronomy 6:4. The LORD is echad, (אחד), which means one altogether, not yachid (יָחִיד) which means singular. Even more interesting is how Elohim (אלֹהים) is used for the singular noun "God" when in Biblical Hebrew it is a plural (three or more in the grammar), masculine noun. If the unitarian view is correct, then why does the Scripture use Elohim more often than the singular form Eloah (אֱל֫וֹהַּ)? There are many things hidden in the original languages of the Scripture that can clear many of the nuances of translation in the target language and even disprove false doctrines.
So what does one say to a gal that says the Bible has errors. Why would God have a law that says the guy who raped a gal must marry her? She also said the book of Isaiah is gibberish. She doesn't believe that Lot's wife was turned to salt just for turning around when the family did worse sins than that etc.....
I didn’t start reading the Bible until I got saved because I couldn’t understand it. Then after I got saved I seemed to understand it a lot better. I read the New Testament and now I skip around but I’ve been reading a lot of the Old Testament Over the last year or two. It amazes me when I see all this prophecy about JESUS! It just blows me away I love learning about it. But another thing that confuses me is that the Jews don’t see it. The Mormons who have the King James Bible don’t see it. The Catholics don’t even completely get it. I think it’s because you have so many people who don’t or refuse to read the Bible. Look at all the religions and cults from Islam to jahovas witnesses. They won’t read it because they are afraid that it’s true and the ones that do read it don’t understand it. They don’t understand it because they aren’t really reading it they are depending on their religious leaders to explain things to them. I’m also seeing a lot of this in the church today. Christians aren’t reading the Bible. They will listen to music, go to church watch a sermon but they won’t read the Bible. Then a false teacher comes along and leads them astray because they don’t know better.
With respect to an afterlife, postmodernism could, strictly speaking, be correct. We have no mechanism for how a post-mortem existence could be sustained, and, therefore, no reason for excluding any scenario of heaven, hell, or reincarnation. Maybe everybody DOES get the afterlife they envision. Todd and Ray get to go to their exclusivist evangelical heaven, Muslims get their houris of paradise, etc.

What I was trying to convey with my post is that, in the absence of a model for an afterlife, the theist's appeal to logic--view A and view B of heaven and how to get there can't both be right--is without foundation.
Jan, the problem is you came up with this scenario of an afterlife from your own thoughts. The Bible is a book or books written over 1,500yrs by around 40 authors. And they all line up in their thinking. I will take their word for the truth over yours. I am sure you are a nice person and mean no disrespect. It's just that I don't see you as the one in whom I will place my eternal destiny.

There are no contemporary records of Jesus, none at all- so how is it a fringe belief to say he may not have existed? I think its perfectly possible that one of the many roving preachers of that time may have been the individual the stories are based around, but there is absolutely no evidence for the existence of any person living the actual life portrayed and certainly no evidence that a demigod was performing miracles. Its hardly surprising that the authors of the new testament made self fulfilling prophecy out of some old testament predictions.

Pentecost was when the Holy Spirit came for the first time. Pentecost will never happen again because the Holy Spirit is here to stay.

@@earlysda Yes, you must keep all the commandments, or have faith in Jesus apart from works (Galatians 3:10). If we cannot keep the entire law, then as for our righteousness and salvation it is useless. In Christ we are dead to the law (Romans 7), and we do not live to it.

Every action we do matters, it affects you and everyone around you. Your very presence is changing the world, your very perspective changes the world in only two ways, negative and positive. There is no neutral.
There are absolute truths, such as if you get hit in the face, it will hurt. If you jump, you will come back down. Whether people believe in the truth or not, the truth will remain the truth.
God does care for us and He has left us in charge of the earth and its resources. Whether we decide to do good or bad, the guilt falls on us and not God. If people starve, it is not because of God. God has provided the land and the food. It is just man blocking and not distributing food for selfish reasons.
How do you find God?
You read the words that He has left you to know Him. First, you have to know who you are looking for before you start searching for Him. The best way to search for God and find Him is through his Holy words. Open up the Holy Bible and know Him.
Story example:
Officer: Find me the man that paints with water.
Detective: Show me the man boss and I will find him.
Officer: We have no picture of Him, but we do have a description of his likes, dislikes, his past actions, his paintings, his galleries and eyewitness details of him and the very art that is the apple of his eyes that he has preserved even though it was taken many times by different people, the painting has remained preserved. From this information, you will find him. It is all written there for you.
Detective: No such man exists unless you show me the picture or him in person.
Officer: I believe you are the detective and the information provided to you is more than enough to find the man we are looking for. I think you should start investigating the written descriptions before you cross him off and get answers. Each detail will give you more answers, as they all point to him.

I think you knew what I meant was the continuation of Pentecost in an individual’s Sealing/Personal awareness of the reality of Christ as witnessed to them by the Counselor/Comforter promised by our Lord. Much as it was an instant of revelation for the Apostles and ALL the remaining followers in the Upper Chamber that day. Including the guy who betrayed Christ 43 days earlier, a complete fail, who stood up and converted 9000 devout Jews soon after. You’ll find (you may have to look harder these days) that if you speak to someone like me who claims to have had the exact same experience as my Biblical brothers (apart from the Apostolic elements), with regard to the realization/enlightenment of God and self in the Messiah by the witness of Christ by the Holy Spirit, you’ll hear the exact same story. Unfortunately those who have not had the full encounter with Him are resorting to “doctrinizing” the born again experience. That makes me sad. Of course the seminal notion that you can be REBORN and not actually have a complete, utter and immediate awareness of that occurrence, even if you just look at it logically, is astounding. The fact that there are Christians who attest to such an experience in their real lives should give rise to SOME curiosity.
But yes….the initial dispensation cannot by definition be repeated. But it can be initialized in an individual’s complete, intellectual, psychological and yes emotional conversion/transformation. How Bible Scholars can read Biblical words attesting to Transformation in the context of immediate change in the course of simple events and add of their own idea that this was referring to an eventual, gradual, change (which does happen afterwards and ongoing) defies logic. Ask yourself why Peter was so concerned with those believers who of course believed but didn’t know the witness of the Holy Spirit (and even of His existence). He swiftly moved to their rescue and remedy.
To me an explanation of all this mitigating of the Born Again experience in these last days and the reducing of it to an inward, only seen in aggregate change in an individual can be summed up to me in this way: Reading the letters of the New Testament without the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit (described joyfully by Paul many times) is like reading someone else’s mail. I think it would be the same way Peter would have read it and understood it prior to Pentecost. Not quite a full understanding. The same understanding the Prophets of old longed for and we have been blessed with by the Grace of God in Christ.

The Old Testament is literally filled with so many things that would contradict the unitarian's view; verses such as Hosea 1:7, Zechariah 2:8-9, Genesis 18:2, 19:24 all show a compound unity in the Godhead that is proclaimed in Deuteronomy 6:4. The LORD is echad, (אחד), which means one altogether, not yachid (יָחִיד) which means singular. Even more interesting is how Elohim (אלֹהים) is used for the singular noun "God" when in Biblical Hebrew it is a plural (three or more in the grammar), masculine noun. If the unitarian view is correct, then why does the Scripture use Elohim more often than the singular form Eloah (אֱל֫וֹהַּ)? There are many things hidden in the original languages of the Scripture that can clear many of the nuances of translation in the target language and even disprove false doctrines.

I didn’t start reading the Bible until I got saved because I couldn’t understand it. Then after I got saved I seemed to understand it a lot better. I read the New Testament and now I skip around but I’ve been reading a lot of the Old Testament Over the last year or two. It amazes me when I see all this prophecy about JESUS! It just blows me away I love learning about it. But another thing that confuses me is that the Jews don’t see it. The Mormons who have the King James Bible don’t see it. The Catholics don’t even completely get it. I think it’s because you have so many people who don’t or refuse to read the Bible. Look at all the religions and cults from Islam to jahovas witnesses. They won’t read it because they are afraid that it’s true and the ones that do read it don’t understand it. They don’t understand it because they aren’t really reading it they are depending on their religious leaders to explain things to them. I’m also seeing a lot of this in the church today. Christians aren’t reading the Bible. They will listen to music, go to church watch a sermon but they won’t read the Bible. Then a false teacher comes along and leads them astray because they don’t know better.
With respect to an afterlife, postmodernism could, strictly speaking, be correct. We have no mechanism for how a post-mortem existence could be sustained, and, therefore, no reason for excluding any scenario of heaven, hell, or reincarnation. Maybe everybody DOES get the afterlife they envision. Todd and Ray get to go to their exclusivist evangelical heaven, Muslims get their houris of paradise, etc.

Jan, the problem is you came up with this scenario of an afterlife from your own thoughts. The Bible is a book or books written over 1,500yrs by around 40 authors. And they all line up in their thinking. I will take their word for the truth over yours. I am sure you are a nice person and mean no disrespect. It's just that I don't see you as the one in whom I will place my eternal destiny.

Christianity is not unbelievable because of all the evidence you get from the Scriptures. This is what Todd Friel is pointing to in the video. Making comparisons to Scientology is unfair and really doesn't make any sense except that you don't believe both. You don't believe in the tooth fairy either etc etc etc Yet the Bible stands as a record of God's revelation to humankind. Be saved by my Son!!!

Jesus is not a mythical creature. There is even non biblical evidence that He lived,was worshiped as God and rose again from the grave. Even if a whole church denies Him doesn't mean He is not who He said He was. I stake my life on it, and my eternal destiny. What do you stake your eternal destiny on?

I also want to say that I don't agree with those who discount Josephus. Josephus was not a Christian,but as a Jewish historian he understood the historical ramifications of the Messiah.

There are no contemporary records of Jesus, none at all- so how is it a fringe belief to say he may not have existed?
I think its perfectly possible that one of the many roving preachers of that time may have been the individual the stories are based around, but there is absolutely no evidence for the existence of any person living the actual life portrayed and certainly no evidence that a demigod was performing miracles.
Its hardly surprising that the authors of the new testament made self fulfilling prophecy out of some old testament predictions.
