Always check both new and old in a bucked of boiling water the see the action and records temps when it closes and how quickly by letting the water cool down..... Also, these cars like the colder thermostat TB48 76.5C
I reckon if I change thermostats I might solve the pushing coolant out the over flow bottle as it would not be circulating then and just pushing it out the small top hose
Yeah that's right mate just go easy on them bolts and you will be alright. There is no need to remove the alternator if you do it how i did. It might be best to do it while the engine is still a bit warm to be more forgiving on them bolts as you don't want to snap any if you're doing it on a cold day. Reach out if you have any questions im happy to answer any.

excellent video, exactly what i needed to know. thank you.
Did your heater in the car work ?? As my engine temp stays normal but pushes fluid out the overflow but lower hose and housing stay very cool
Yeah works perfect

@keithy363 yeah that might be the shot
It sounds like there's air in the system - heater not working says 100% there's air. Bleed the air out.
THE PROBLEM WAS A BAD WIRE IN THE DASH ........ NOW FIXED
Bad wire in the cluster or actually behind the dash? I believe I have the da problem
@@wesleystones670 apparently its due to a crappy solder in the dash. So manny have the problem
