this game is a breath of fresh air. the gameplay is basic FPS action, no frills, just solid "shoot bad guys in the face" that respects the source material. i've had lots of fun with it. it's not super polished but the devs clearly care about Robocop

Wasn’t very solid but I’m a huge Robocop fan so I purchased and beat it and for the most part it was enjoyable.

I love the way the environment reacts, how enemies react, it's super entertaining & seems really enjoyable.
I've played it, it is. Makes Robocop's weaponry feel satisfyingly powerful.

I can't believe that this actually looks decent. That part where you threw the extinguisher was insane. Plus, any game where you can kill a guy by throwing another guy at him is automatically amazing.

This game is the kind of buggy that makes the game more fun. makes it so charming and I haven't heard of any game breaking one. Just ones that make you laugh. I hope these develops get the Judge Dredd ip.
Jank is the word. Sometimes its bad, but this is the good kind of jank. The ragdolls are the best part.
I had one that had me stuck in slow mo for an uncomfortably long time. But it stopped, then I started skeet shooting enemies
@@ARStudios2000 Yeah it's got that GOOD Jankyness. Once I realized if I grab and throw someone with low health right next to a wall they basicaly go into the backrooms I started laughing my ass off.

you can consistently throw people directly through solid walls and floors. this bug is 10x more fun than some games' intentional features.
For a AA licensed movie game the attention to detail is phenomenal.
This game has jank in all the right ways. Feels like a B movie where it adds to the charm.
It's bizarre that the guys behind last decade's worst games are now making actually kinda pretty damned good games. Licensed AA games, but like... really good ones? Devs... that learned? From their mistakes? Impossible!
I know I've been a fan since The Terminator game came out and when I heard that they were taking robocop on I got excited but still a little nervous. Now I'm just having a blast playing It

The terminator game is actually pretty decent. It feels like a dated ps3 shooter but you can tell they put love and care into it. It’s a solid 7/10 imo. I replay every now and then

Also a reason why it’s overrated. If you have Jon Doe walking around in the armor it would be a 4/10
The gameplay was average (though not bad), but the way it embraced the Terminator IP was great. It was the Future War story a lot of Terminator fans were waiting for. One of those cases where the IP elevates the other parts because the love and care the devs clearly had for the universe. Doing this stuff in the future fighting against Skynet and Terminators was awesome.
This seems no different for the Robocop IP, so much that I actually want them to take another crack at the Rambo license.
@@gameragodzilla that’s exactly why I liked it so much. Ever since I was a kid the “future war” aspect has always been my favorite aspect of Terminator. It’s not a perfect game, but they cared about the IP and didn’t make a cash grab.

I miss couch co-op in general. Hate that games nowadays don't even have an option for games that feel like they should have split screens.
This game is a hidden gem for 2023 definitely worth buying especially if you're a robocop fan super fun! Also I love this channel so happy I found it reminds me of the days playing with my brother's good times 🙌🏼

And how small the team is using nanite, and lumin, in the game is pretty much amazing. Crazy they could pull any of this off..with only a little over 118 people..

Ploughed a good 15+ hours into this, and bloody love it! Yes it doesn't look great on PS5, yes the faces looks decidedly PS3 era, yes the lip sync is pretty non existent, and yes it's very rinse and repeat. But in the same way Alien Isolation nailed the world it was set in, Robocop does the same; it's pure fan service at the very best and is one of the stand-out games this year imo. Fun fact, this is the only PS5 game I have purchased this year, on day on and at full price, everything else has been months later/on offer/second hand
Let's probably think this game will be the last time " Peter Weller " would act as our cop ; thinking about it made me sad :(.

There are a few technical flaws but honestly I can absolutely overlook that, because the rest is just good fun entertainment.

Regardless... The Future of Law Enforcement is a terrible game and not even worth playing (and thats from me, a die hard Robocop fan). I dont wish it on anyone, just watch the cutscnees online and call it a day.

This game is way better than it has any right being. One of the biggest surprises of the year for me!
Just love how impactful and powerful the combat feels. One accurate blast chops them up nicely, with satisfying ragdoll physics.. Making the weapons feel suitably powerful... The opposite of the bullet sponge enemies from so many other modern shooters.. Which make the weapons feel like pea shooters...
Pumping round after round into enemies, and they recycle they same 2 or 3 "I'm hit" canned animations about a dozen times, until they finally go down. It's the difference between "F-yeah, I blew that guy away!", and "OMG, FINALLY the dude went down, after burning through TWO MAGS!"... It just feels like a cheap way to artificially pad out the difficulty / playtime.
Deep cut, there is actually a deleted scene where Robocop walked by the wide open communal showers at the police station and actually was creeping on a nude woman taking a shower.
I've seen this. It was for RoboCop 2. He also met his ex wife in it too
Nice video. It is heartwarming to see actually a good RoboCop game in decades. But, I have to say that, sometimes you guys react to what happens in the game like you first time played FPS game, where you can shoot out enemies legs, heads and arms. Like, if you like then try out game called F.E.A.R but on PC. It's 2005 FPS game and it is first person shooter horror game and it has like trilogy of a games, but I recommend try the first one. And despite it's year, it looks very good even for 2005. And there you can shoot enemies limbs out or explode them to pieces. Literally! I just decided to replay it and oh boy, F.E.A.R is very entertaining even after so many years. So yeah, try it out if you didn't.

As underwhelming the graphics are, gotta admit this game actually looks pretty decent for what it’s trying to do. Kinda glad there’s still developers out there making B tier games for the sake of padding out the library, sometimes you can find little gems like these
Honestly it looks pretty good on PC. I've noticed in the video that the PS5 version is kinda blurry, I guess the resolution is heavily scaled down on consoles

It's way more fun than it has any right to be. A modern FPS where you move slowly, can't jump, can't crouch, can't use cover... and it is tons of fun!

I like how this isn’t a cover shooter. You aren’t a snail, but you move at a pretty leisurely pace and it feels accurate to the movie.

Amazing game and don’t know what people talking about saying graphics aren’t good, on my 4k tv and my series x old Detroit looks amazing and so many references to the original movie. Anybody who doesn’t appreciate the game wasn’t a fan of Robocop

This has since been updated and was given a New Game Plus. For Terminator Resistance, I recommend playing the updated version with the Infiltrator Mode and DLC campaign
You know how you guys pointed out a gas station named Hell? There’s a city called Hell about a couple hours drive from Detroit.
Definitely try out the Terminator game by these devs too, like you guys were talking about. Truly a gem and just as gorgeous, well-acted, and engaging mission wise.
RoboCop is incredible...it plays like an actual RoboCop movie and is GREAT exactly where it needs to be. Of course if you were around when the movies came out, and are a fan, how they captured the feel of 80s storytelling makes it extra special. In all its flaws, I give it an 8.5/10, mostly because the combat is insane....You feel powerful playing as RoboCop from the get-go, and that skill tree and Auto-9 enhancements turn you into a killing machine....the devs who made this understood this concept and delivered perfectly in this aspect.
This game makes the original Xbox version of RoboCop look inferior, compare to this. They capture the movies likeness here. I really like it, if they re create a new Rambo game.
I would hope so.. considering there have been a “few” hardware upgrades

The gun has no recoil and he moves like a snail. This is a good thing for Robocop. They redesigned FPS games to account for how nimble he isn’t.

Yes you should definitely play the PS2 Robocop because you should play it to see if that game is way better than PS5 or not maybe it might be trash. The PS3 games you should play is Transformers Revenge of the fallen, Cars 2 video game, and The Lego movie the video game.

I personally think games are much more natural on console. I grew up playing consoles since I was a kid and tried one on PC but I barely move the mouse and it spins the camera all around and it was basically unplayable!
