I love that they personally considered this to be effectively the 3rd movie even years later
they wrote it considering it to be the 3rd
Actually, if you watch the special content on the game, Dan Arett actually says he does consider this the third film
You look like my aunt.
@@chrisakaschulbus4903 Underrated comment.
We don’t talk about that other ghostbusters from 2016
I always liked how Egon and Peter just give up on trying for your name, just calling you rook or rookie. But Ray is constantly calling you different things like hoss, boss, bud, big man, and other friendly nicknames to hide the fact that he doesn't know your name either.
Fun fact the rookie appears in the comics of ghost busters running a separate branch of the ghostbusters company
I love that
@@ImmortalLlama - The Rookie also gets a name in the comics: Bryan Welsh, similar to the man who portrayed him in the 2009 game, Ryan French.
R.I.P Egon (Harold ramis) gone but not forgotten 😢😭🫡
Egon but not forgotten
No too soon man too soon
WHO???
we will remember harold ramis better than the 2016 movie we have now
Who?
I've always been really disappointed in Bill Murray's performance in this game, especially because you can tell that the rest of the returning cast, including Annie Potts and William Atherton, are having a blast. Hell, even Bill's fucking brother plays the mayor in this game and he's fantastic. (To be fair, Brian Doyle-Murray was already an accomplished voice actor by that point, and still does it a ton in addition to his numerous film and TV roles. I'd argue he's the better actor at this point in their lives.)
Also worth noting that the original version of this game on the 360 had a really fun cooperative multiplayer mode.
The multiplayer on xbox is still accessible!
@@miler2005nobody plays it now though 😕
After 4 years the legendary RUclips channel Mind pulp finally did a review for Ghostbusters the video game what legends
I played the hardest difficulty and I hated it because the little shit stone angels
@@Redplayer1176 if you just do the side-dash move back and forth in front of the gate they'll dive at you but miss and hit the gate which lets you progress (in case you feel like beating it again)
Definitely a Bot comment
@@george1717 hell no I'm not doing that shit again I may have beaten it but I used a guest account to do it so I had to do it in one go and it was a bitch
I once rolled my car 12 times off the side of the interstate BUT Mind Pulp was playing so I survived without breaking a single bone. Magical stuff you guys are doing… just magical 🧙🏿♂️
With help of Mind Pulp, I got off crack-cocaine and turned my life around.

Thanks to mind pulp I no longer need viagra!
I used to be chronically homo until I started watching Mind Pulp. They too have made me realize I need to man up so this past month was the last of the loads I'll ever have to fart out into my toilet again. Thanks Mind Pulp ❤
I still find it funny that the hotel stayed open after all of that chaos from the ghosts. And then the only reason they actually close down is because of an electrical fire, that the manager mentions later in the game. xD
Also, it's funny if you catch Slimer without trashing the Bar Mitzvah (that badly), since the camera would pan across a pretty decent room while the manager complains that it's trashed.
Ghostbusters is my favorite movie of all time. There are so many great elements in the movie the acting, the writing, special effects, and the comedy. It all came together to make the greatest movie of all time.
It's alright
just the 1
Sarcasm?
I'm in total agreement, everything came together and made it ahead of it's time. GB is my all time favorite movie, seen it over 200 times (no exaggeration)
Idk if I'll be the only one to say this, but I genuinely think you (two) should make a part two.
I honestly love the commentary you both have of this game and I would really like to know what your thoughts are on the latter portions of the game.
the fact that the OG ghostbusters came out in 1984 is unbeliveable. and its still one of my favorit movies, that i also remember wcthing as a child back in the late 2000,s or early 2010,s.
I really liked this game and still do! I was a QA tester for this game and many more back in the X360, PS3, Wii era! 2 days before release I was still working overtime at night to verify all the major bugs fixes! The PS2 was the most difficult to code for the studio. 2 days before release the last boss still had a 15 min black loading screen. The "original" release version for xbox 360 could not be 100% completed if you were using hdmi! You can thank me and my desire to always do stuff differently for being able to do it on release day XD
Congratulation!
You have saved the city and proved justice.
And go and rest our heroes.
Conglaturation!
You have played a a great game!
You have proved the justice of our culture!
Now go and rest our Mind Pulp!
I’ve replayed this game too many times and I personally enjoy very much and I consider it the third movie before Afterliife and it was Harold Ramis last ghostbusters project 🥺🥺
His big line at the end of the game is genuinely one of the best Egon moments in the series:
"We eat gods for breakfast!"
Ikr chef’s kiss to that comeback
Loved this game back on the Wii. Even got the remake of the game on the Switch.
Wii version is peak. Motion controlled busting makes me feel good.
The Wii felt like you were actually ghostbustin'
@@Dzztztyou should play the vr game when yiu get a chance, feels just like a ghostbuster
Fun fact. The ds version had a free play mode and you got to play as the main ghost busters crew. And drive around in the eco 1.
I really do recommend checking out all 3 versions of the game.
I remember the DS version, it was one of my first ever video games and I loved it. I still have it actually and played it again recently.
Honestly I thought my game was broken because it was so difficult to get past the very first ghost. I bought a second copy only to find out I just suck at that version😂
@nighttime8435 I had both the ps2 and the ds version. Realized very quickly it was the same story idea but very different setup and game play. Honestly, I thought the ds version was harder at first after playing the ps2 version but realized It needed more strategy to play.
You can upgrade your weapons by opening the menu if you ever play this again, also this game spins off into a comic book series called chicago ghostbusters.
You know I’m glad they played the XBOX ghostbusters it paid off greatly
Also, having a voiceless ghostbuster rookie is the opportunity to add your own lines to the character 😎
But I rolled a 2 for my charisma stat😟
@@glizzygulper6998 doesn’t matter, you’re still a ghostbuster 😎
Yeah it works pretty well in this game. He doesn’t speak because he’s nervous and every time he goes to talk he gets interrupted.
@@nighttime8435 well maybe the ghostbusters want him to observe more than speak 😁
“Think were stuck!? Think we’re stuck, Think we’re stuck, Think we’re stuck-“
The game is available on switch and there is a version on Wii that is more cartoony in design.
So glad to see you guys playing this! I'd say the one advantage of playing the PS2/Wii versions is that you get the option of choosing whether your character is male or female---weird that they didn't do that for the XBox version. I was also lucky enough to meet Ernie Hudson at Steel City Con years ago. He even wore his Ghostbusters uniform and had all sorts of stories to tell about the film industry. Really nice gentleman. :)
Probably because of the comics. Rookie becomes a proper character and runs another ghostbusters branch.
@@nighttime8435 Oh, really? I didn't know that! I'm gonna' have to track that down now. :)
I like afterlife and frozen empire, but this just has THAT ghostbusters vibe coming off of it.
I love that unlike a good majority of licensed movie tie-in video games, this one's actually canon. It's honestly well deserved too.
This game should have gotten a remake instead of a remaster. Battle for Bikini Bottom and Destroy all Humans have shown you can use the old dialogue and people won’t care, we just want to play our favorite games with a fresh coat of paint
There are remasters of this game on last gen platforms, so I'm glad for that.
The one major thing those were missing that I honestly loved was the cooperative multiplayer mode. It was actually incredibly fun busting ghosts with a friend, and there was some added depth to that mode as well when it comes to deciding which firing modes you wanted to equip.
@@BucklingSwashes Really? Why was it taken out?
@@TheLarkaanimation I don't think it was taken out so much as that they didn't want to have to do the additional work needed to include it in the remaster (like hosting servers, for example). At least that's my assumption.
@@BucklingSwashes Makes sense. Servers come and go.
Man I'm such a huge orgional Ghostbusters fan, and I absolutely loved this game when it first came out. Watching this makes want to play it again.
Just a fun fact, the game was supposed to be the third movie but the script was to long that it would have had to been a two parter. But Harold Raymus and Dan Ankroyd didn't want that.
this game is fun to just play through every now and then. not many games can get me to come back anymore
honestly a hidden gem
i woudnt call this hidden or underrated, its pretty well known
@@mynameismattfirered9276 thanks for that. i didnt even know it was that well known

@@sasukeuchiha8801 again?
You’re actually supposed to destroy as much as possible because Peck pays for all of it. It earns you points or something like that.
It's a game I love and possibly the only game I've bought and rebought not once, but four times (360, PS4, Wii, and PS2 for those curious).
Wow, I can't believe you started with the Doug Funnie version of the Ghostbusters theme tune. Also you can talk to the Vigo portrait for dialog :3
Nah, that's the BEST Ghostbusters game
Defintely need to make a part 2 for this one, genuniely was one of my favourite games as a kid
The guy at the hotel would rather just do nothing and hope that the ghost will go away on its own, risking the chance of it causing more damage to the bar mitzvah than to just let you in to capture it? Jeez, it sounds like this guy is just being unbelievably stubborn
Actually looks surprisingly good. I do love building the hud into the environment and it looks like they did a pretty good job of that.
My heart skips a beat every time I see a new mindpulp video! So thankful for these guys
I played this on the Wii, having to point the remote to catch the ghost made the game amazing
I love this game so much, please play the whole thing it’s so good
I enjoyed this game so much I've bought it like...4 times? Originally got it on box 360, later ps3 after all my games got stolen, Ps4 remaster later on, and then on switch so had it portable....might be a tad obsessed 😅
One of my favorite gaming memories, thanks for playing
Will never tire of this game, played it a dozen times
I have this for the 360, PSP and DS and every version is #1. Love hearing my favorite film score composed and conducted by Elmer Bernstein heard throughout the game.
One of my favorite levels is the museum where you find civil war ghosts, and they fight each other as well as you
I remember when this came out and was the most talked about game and anticipated. Well done and the story is perfect.
Yay! I fucking love this game, i let my coworker borrow my playstation 3 just to experience it. He saw ghostbusters as a kid and wasn’t a gamer during the PS3 era, and this was before the remaster came out, so he absolutely loved it. It’s so good
I Love This Game
I played it on PS3, played it on Wii, and now i always play the remastered, i still play it whenever i feel like it
Sick cover dudes!!
Full version when?
I love this game. Like it's one of the few games I would actually play over and over again (single player)
This game is so fricking good
I just started getting into Ghostbusters and loving it. I found the remaster of this game collecting dust in my free Epic Games library. So cool
I knew the love for Ghostbusters was real when I heard "I didn't even get to speak to Vigo!" 😂
This game has been on my wishlist for years. Seeing how much fan service and Easter eggs there are I'll finally buy it. Thanks guys. Great video, as always.
You’ll definitely have a fun time! It’s a fantastic game.
Can’t wait til you meet the Ghostbusters favorite Peck.
My brother plays this game religiously to this day. Suprised you guys covered this
I have a copy of this for the 360, but not the console. I put it in my xbox one just for the hell of it, and it worked. I love this game.
I remember playing this when it first released.
There was huge hype for this game when the original cast members were announced to be the voice actors and the script writers.
The moment we’ve been waiting for, Mind Pulp becoming Ghostbusters
I loved this as a kid and finally beat it for the first time as a nostalgia trip. I love that its basically canon and considered the 3rd installment by Dan Akroyd
"Everything you need to know is displayed on the pack itself! Which is on your back. Which you can't see."
I know you guys don't really do PS2 games that much, and I realize asking you to do another Ghostbusters game that's essentially just the more cartoony graphics of this is a bit silly, but it would be nice to see two of my favorite RUclipsrs play the PS2 version of this. I have very vivid memories of playing it with my dad on the multiplayer mode on our Wii and it was the only time the two of us actually sat down together and bonded. That specific game holds a lot of good memories. Take care and thank you if you read this, and thank you for another amazing upload.
Busting in Bill Murray, what?
This is a actually one of my favs
this was my favorite game when i was younger this game is amazing
I was playing this last month then I looked to see if you mad a video about it, Was disappointed you haven’t yet, Then happy to have this when I was back at work 😂
YES! THE DAY I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR (I’m obsessed with the game and bought it on every console)
Love your guys channel never fails to make me laugh keep it up❤
Definitely need a part 2!
Love how this game is having a comeback now
I know it’s a bit clumsy, but I still like to believe that this game is still part of the ongoing canon
How has it taken you this long to play this game, one of the best games ever!! The forgotten ghostbusters movie fr
I just did a review on this game and had an absolute blast! It really is the Ghostbusters 3 everyone needed and deserved!
Got this on day it released and have been telling people this is THE ghost busters game
I DEMAND A FULL LP OF THIS GAME BETWEEN YOU TWO
My wife and I virtually just re-downloaded this game last night. Still so good... a little wonky in some respects but still so good.
One thing I loved about the cartoon version is that there was a trex skeleton boss, also I would love to see a pt2 of this
I absolutely loved this game as a kid still playing it!
I remember buying an imported copy of the Xbox 360 version from the defunct (as of 2020) store Dungeon Crawl, here in Australia, back in 2009. We Aussies had a timed release for Sony's platforms first, before the other versions released about 5 months later, so it felt pretty cool to be able to play the Xbox version before it was officially released here. I still have that disc and break it out for the occasional multiplayer session. Yes, the 360 servers are still up, all these years later, to my astonishment.
Re: Bill Murray - Having recently played and completed the Nintendo Wii version of the game for the first time, you may be pleased to hear that his performance in that version is at least a bit more lively, since alternate recordings are used. The game recycles some of his takes from the HD versions, so there are points where he does indeed sound like he's half-assing it, but for the most part, he sounds like he actually wants to be there.
I've seen that vodka around for so long and thought it was cool at first, never tried it but I didn't know he had anything to with it.
love your ghostbusters cover
Funny thing, I recently replayed it and it still hasn't aged a day. I remember playing the original back when I was in 4th grade but could never get past the gargoyles lmao. I love that game to pieces and treat it as the Ghostbusters 3 of the franchise
I play this every October.
I occasionally pop in the DS version when I'm in an Ecto-1 mood
This game was one of the few reasons I wanted to get a PS3 back in the day; it looked really good for the time and it really captured the movies and the feeling of being a ghostbuster. Plus it prevented me from getting the PS2 version, which looked like dog dookie visually, but it could very well be a good version of the game.
I am gonna have to give this another playthrough now.
I grew up with this game, I owned it on ps2 when I was 8 to 11 then i bought the remastered one when it came out for nostalgia and to see what's new in the remastered version.
My first experience with this was actually on the Wii, and was surprised when I found out that there was two other versions (DS and PS3/Remastered). I got a hold of both and loved them, with the Wii still being my favorite. It's awesome to see you play this!
I'm glad I finally sat down and played this earlier this year! It truly was a great 3rd movie.
After it came to PC I got my copy and enjoyed it. Once I relaxed and got into the game loop the design kept me entertained. Given this fact I felt the graveyard mission(s) were longer than necessary but it 'was' a graveyard and I could feel the end of the game nearing so padding the end is normal.
You guys need at least 1 million subs. At least. But longer videos for my breaks please 😂
That’s so cool I use to play this all the time when I was younger still have it and play a level from time to time great game
This was one of my favorite games back in college. It really felt like I was proton wrangling and trapping ghosts.
I have this on the switch, it plays great as an handheld
Fun fact, bill Murray himself hates his role in ghostbusters in general
Whoever thought to make this game a dead space clone should get a serious raise. This game went way too hard
Yall should finish the game, I love this game.
I remember renting it a while back and it being very fun and short. Decided to buy a copy at a retro store for 8 bucks.
16:15 Those are all the burnt marshmallows from your lifetime seeking revenge for keeping in the fire too long 😁
I wish they would remake this specific one it was so fun as a kid to play
Respect to Harold Ramis we miss you.
🙂 The Ghostbusters game on the Xbox360 called Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime is really good too!!! It's an arcade shooter that should've been in the Arcades.
I still love playing it with friends and I might put it in my Mame arcade cabinet.
i remember they had this game up at my local gamestop back in the day
I've played through this game so many times, and it's worth playing every time!
