Thank you! I’m just starting temps and I’m very nervous. The trimming part is where I’m struggling with. I’m going to try using a pencil to help guide me! Thank you so much!
My dental assistant put some cotton/gauze inside my temporary crown before placing it on my prepped molar. Is this standard? Later that evening, small piece of the cotton slid from under the temp crown with a little blood on it. The temp crown doesn't fit flushed against my gum and has an opening that food etc. can get stuck in. The assistant stated that the permanent crown is not made from the same temp mold. Does that sound normal?
How long can they last? I've been waiting for my permanent crown for almost two weeks and now there's a quarantine. It figures. I neglected this tooth for seven years. Finally gird my loins, save the money, and gather the courage to get the damn tooth fixed and now we're having a pandemic. smh What makes me mad is that I asked the tech about this very possibility and she laughed at me. I should've followed my gut.
@@JamesAnderson-lq8tf That's a kind idea, but I'll only say that if it's true. I don't want to take gloves and masks away from the medical system right now.
Great job with good production. I like the real life approach and no fluff. Will show this to my EDDA class. Thanks!
Glad you liked it!
I have been looking at “how to” videos for an hour and finally found this amazing tutorial! Best one ever! Thank you.

Key point: try to make the temp look like a permanent crown. Get your reps in and you'll be golden!
Thank you

Thank you for this video it was very helpful.
Extremely helpful.
What if you have an open margin?
If it's small, leave it. If medium, you might be able to repair with composite. If large, start over with a new temp.
What is the name of that tray?
Very helpfu!

Tell them you are in extreme pain and need emergency treatment.
