A big kit, a good kit, a long video... Took me more to edit than to build... This is the full Trumpeter Ju-87A Stuka built. Let me know what you think by leaving a comment below.
Thanks for showing your beautiful build of this kit! A couple of technical errors to note: 1. The Ju-87A did not employ those partiicular bomb/fuel tank racks; they are specific to the D model only. The A model wings were not "plumbed" for fuel lines for drop tanks, and the Jumo 210 of the A model did not have sufficient power to carry center-line bomb AND wing tanks/bombs. In fact, the A model did not have any wing racks, as it was in an overload condition with 250kg bomb, unable to carry gunner. 2. A model only carried one 7.92 mm mg 17 wing gun, starboard wing only (Wikipedia is INCORRECT!). Typical Trumpeter lack of attention to historical technical detail by including D model-specific parts in an A model kit, and not, at the least, warning in the instructions the modeler. Trumpeter also did not mold ALL rivets; many were raised. Also, some of the Ju-87 plexiglass bracing was INTERNAL. Cockpit entry handholds were 3 on port side, TWO on starboard.
Thank you for the information.. truth be told, I'm not a history buff and I had no idea of the facts that you mentioned.. So I simply followed the instructions and tried to make a realistic model. You are greatly knowledgeable in the subject. Thank you for watching.
Lovely I'm currently building the Airfix 1/24 JU87 And loving it I'm completely new to modelling and honestly it's the first one I've built since a child I've also bought this kit and I'm looking forward to that in a few months this one, the Trumpeter is noticeably bigger, now you may hate me for this but I'm painting then with a Huginn and Muninn theme Odin's Ravens Great video thanks
Great video, awesome build, getting tips before starting mine, however I haven’t an airbrush kit, only ever used brush but never done one this big, I’m thinking of moving over to airbrush so this video has helped a lot, would like also a 1/24 Spit but from comments so far all over I’d prefer new tooling version Again nicely done sir 💪🏻 Happy new year
Beautiful kit with lots more detail than the Airfix version i built a while back. I do believe a great kit like this deserves an aftermarket instrument panel and seatbelt upgrade. Your build looks amazing. Thanks for the video.
Hello mr. W!boy!that bird is huge! Great job done.a nice little gem you have created.i also like your passion for detail.i truly appreciate ur efforts.of course you deserve a thumb up.and. keep up the good work and Keep the faith.with best regards and sticky greetings from Brandenburg germany.faithfully yours.your modellmate.christian
Great job; fantastic... beautiful airplane. Thank you so much for taking all the effort and time showing us the whole process. This is really appreciated.
I've built this kit before and still have 2 others of same company, only still in cellophane unopened. I do this for a few reasons. German aircraft are my favorites to build in 1/32 scale. They are by far, the hardest and most challenging to build because of being extremely detailed, meaning more parts . I'm not at all going to say what companies make the best kits ,we all have our favorites , brands.,not just one or more. If your going to be addicted to something ,I hope it's fine scale modeling. Vman.
I have the 24 Spit in stash too... Haven't been able to find the Hellcat yet, although I must admit that it intimidates me a bit... Perhaps when I get more experienced I'll buy it..
I seen to remember having tried that Airfix Kit back in the far 70's.. but I can hardly remember anything, not even sure if I had finished it... (after 1977 I stopped for nearly 40 years) - Bu't I'm sure that "vintage" kits aren't as detailed or well machined as nowadays kits. Thanks for waching
Absolutely amazing aircraft! I built a 1-24 scale Ju.87 back when I was 19 or so. That was back in the day when they would provide a small battery-powered motor to spin the propeller blades! Sadly, I can't remember the name of the company that made it.
hello everything is fine? I hope so, I'm Brazilian and I really want to start plastic modeling, I have a reserve of money destined for this, however, when I think about the painting part, in addition to not having the ability, I don't have money for adequate equipment, would you be able to help me? Thanks
I used my scalpel to cut the "inside" parts of the decal carrier (so that it wouldn't show) and the four cross sections were misaligned when applied... I had to align them as four separate decals.
At this scale you can give the pilot a pack of cigs and a map and you didn't even made a single cable. Shame on you sir. For a modeller who makes such beautiful seat belts that should be a cake walk.
A great kit, but the tailplane endplates are wrong and the undercarriage trousers are way too big. Also, the complete centra canopy opens. More research before you build methinks! 2/10 for this video.

Thank you very much :)
@oranje1964. Hope someone like Quinta or Red Fox brings out a 3D decal set for this.
Really enjoyed your video, great to see 1/24 scale represented, lovely build, well done mate.
Thank you very much!
Wow. This kit is massive ! Outstanding job on it !👍
Thanks a lot!
@@wbpsmodels3452 You are welcome !
It looks closer to 1:18 as the Airfix 1:24 is considerably smaller.

A true work of art! Nice job
Thank you!
Great job; fantastic... beautiful airplane.
Thank you so much for taking all the effort and time showing us the whole process. This is really appreciated.
Well saved on that cross decal at around 42.59!
Beautiful work and just the right amount of chipping IMO.
Exceptional job with the tones and weathering!!

Looks like a very cool kit. I have a 1/24th Spitfire and Hellcat in my queue but this one is definitely one to add. I always loved the Stuka
I have the 24 Spit in stash too... Haven't been able to find the Hellcat yet, although I must admit that it intimidates me a bit... Perhaps when I get more experienced I'll buy it..
Perfect work 🔥🔥🔥
Very enjoyable video thank you❤❤
Thank you too
Good work sir, looks a better kit than the very old Airfix kit be nice if they updated it.

Nice job.👍
Brilliant work! Am doing the airfix one at the moment and it’s a dog in places.
Thanks!! Good luck with yours... Is it the old one (circa 1976)?
@@wbpsmodels3452 Yes, the 1/24 one. It’s nearly ready for paint now, just filling the gaps lol.
Airfix and the word DOG in same sentence, no way I!
Not the new ones! The new tool ones they are bringing out are brilliant. Have you seen the new 1/24 spit? It’s superb. Honing my skills to start mine.

Thank you very much. There are still some "Technik" models which supply a motor (i think even Revell has some) but they are very expensive nowadays
The Junkers 87A Stuka known as the screaming dive bomber aircraft for its screaming.
Outstanding!
Thank you!
Cool 👍
Lovely build! It's a shame there's no open engine panels though
Using the tablet foil for paint is genius, will definitely be stealing that idea.
I sincerely wish you didn't have to take any tablets.. but by all means, feel free to steal it ! :)
Outstanding build! Well done! Do you use a respirator when gluing and painting?
Thank you! No, I don't use a respirator... but I only use water-based acrylics, no enamels
OMG, this plane is huge! Do you have hangar to expose it? :)
Fantastic work it's a pitty not to find a way to show up the engine details
Indeed... I couldn't risk destroying the cover... and I didn't want to have a "naked" stuka.. (I did that in my 1:48 build). Thanks for watching!
Me encantaría q hicieras este modelo de avión Revell-Messerschmitt Bf110 C-2/C-7, 1:32
I have it in my stash... stay tuned.. won't be very soon however.
@@wbpsmodels3452 perfect!!!! Thx!!
AN AMAZING KIT! HOWEVER THEY COULD HAVE HAD A REMOVABLE COWL PANELS TO DISPLAY THE POWERPLANT AND SLIDING CANOPYS.
❤

What was the problem with the right wing white cross decal?
I used my scalpel to cut the "inside" parts of the decal carrier (so that it wouldn't show) and the four cross sections were misaligned when applied... I had to align them as four separate decals.
Thats a plane aircraft of the Luftwaffe, Adolf Hitler & Goring.
Yes, it is.
Ich wollte bei meinem neu zugelassenen Auto das Kennzeichen JU 87 haben, ging nicht ! Auch JU 88 und JU 90 waren angeblich vergeben !!

Who cares
You should.!Oh and the spinner is the wrong shape for the Anton.
Schön gebaut, aber die Ju87A konnte keine Zusatztanks tragen, erst die Ju87R war dazu in der Lage.Da hast du einen Fehler gemacht.
