Saw this at The Oracle In Oakland!!!! One night after my father died. Dad was a concert pianist, was dying of pancreatic cancer... he would have his bad days and he kept asking me angrily… “Are you going to the Rolling Stones concert?“ I kept telling him ... no dad, I’m not going to leave you alone. I’m an oboist still, guitar too... I didn’t think I’d get very good on guitar but dad kept telling me to learn my 5 7th chords. I started learning stones songs and listening to Mick Taylor… I got a lot better than I ever thought I would. Thanks Keith thanks Mick and thanks Mick :-) Charlie and Wyman and Ronnie too!!!!

3:30 - 4:30 The shortest and best minute of the night. Shoulda let Taylor just play on for another five minutes. Man that was sounding sweet! I remember loving the early 70s Stones because of their distinct guitar parts, and MT's blistering solos. But since Woody joined up w/ Keith, (and I'm a big fan of Faces era Woody) there hasn't been a whole lot of really good, solid guitar, other than a few catchy riffs here and there. On a side note, it appears that Mick T's amp wasn't working in time for the first solo, so he expertly passed it to Ron Wood, who actually managed a decent slide part on it.

The original is a slower heavy massive epic rock song with a killer show stopping solo that you don't want to end (not to mention Bill and Charlie's FAR less simplified accompaniment) . Well, Keith also has played forever in a style uniquely his and he contributed more to this band's body of work than Mick Taylor did. I love Mick Taylor's playing, he is amazing. I don't agree with the take that he is jealous of Mick Taylor at all. It takes all types.

eight inches i was thinking the same thing but I feel like at the same time Keith doesn’t care to play crazy solos. He’s always been a backbone rhythm and riff master

@@AllanEvansOfficial hey big UP Allan. I love the fact you are on youtube listening to jams and making positive comments. I was 8 when mick taylor left the stones. I had older hippie sisters so I was into rock'n roll at a very early age. As I got older I found out more about the stones and the early years with Brian Jones and their history from the 60s. So,i really grew up listening to Ronnie with the stones. I think because of the timing of when I started listening to the stones it made me respect each of the leads equally for what they contributed to the band.
