In the late 1970s and into the early 1989s, the first number of years with Ron Wood, they were still superb. Of course, loosing the solo abilities of Mick Taylor was a huge blow to the band, and noone will probably ever understand why he decided to leave in late 1974. A mistake of a lifetime. Misunderstanding the difference between being a super gifted guitarist and being a songwriter seems to have been the biggest problem, along with getting bad advice from some musician friends outside of the Stones, seem to have been the issues.

I love Mick Taylor, best guitarist they had by far, and that’s not putting Brian or Ronnie down, but their music from ‘69-‘74 is definitely the best. I think MT pushed Keith to another level. My only question is why does he stand with his head to the side looking at the fret? Is he shy, or that’s just him?
When he’s on stage these past few years, he moves around a lot more
