    I’m a lawyer and not from the US, but I think her decision to extend deliberation is reasonable. Huge cost has gone into this trial and sometimes sending the jury off again causes renewed thinking and changes in stance. That really wasn’t a long time to deliberate given the evidence presented.

  • @Rags2Itches
    @Rags2Itches 16 дней назад +6

    In all my years I have never seen a Judge send the Jury back to deliberate more. WTF?
    The JURY DECIDES NOT THE JUDGE on the VERDICT. The Jury has spoken and it is a hung jury ...period. The Foreman of the Jury should of spoken up right then and there in the court. "Your Honor, we the jury can not come to a unanimous decision."
    Not enough time?? Jurys have come back in just a few hours with a verdict for goodness sakes !

    If this Judge is proven to influence the decision making of the juries, then people should petition for her removal as a Judge. It doesn’t matter how long it takes to decide to be certain of a fair and righteous verdict.

  • @mick8888V
    @mick8888V 16 дней назад

    From an hour of deliberation, 6 days and even 55 days have been the range of deliberation lengths of time. I suppose there are many opinions by lawyers and behavioralists as to what too short or too long of a time deliberating could result. I could see this jury being hung given the lack of direct evidence proving that Read killed JO and plenty of impropriety and unprofessionalism by LEOs involved. On one hand, you never want a guilty perpetrator to get away with murder but also don't want to convict a person on insufficient/possibly false testimony. I imagine that might be the quagmire the jury finds itself in. I'd assume that if the jury's complaint is the same come Monday/Tuesday it will be a hung jury and deemed a Mistrial or simply not retried at all.

    Hi, May I share the most important news you will ever hear in life? God the Father sent His holy Son Jesus Christ(Y'shua Ha' Mashiach) from heaven to earth, to be born of a virgin. He grew up and died on the cross for our sins. He was put into a tomb for 3 days, and then Abba Father raised Jesus to life and He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must all sincerely receive Jesus to be a true child of God. It says in John 1:12 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." Will you genuinely believe on Christ Jesus and truly receive Him today, before it is too late?
