AT first I thought the bombardier cars had been retired but they're just outnumbered greatly

The Flexity Swifts are only used on the Blue Line. The Green Line only uses S70s

Yep, These days only 3 full bombardier sets run(btw when I say 3 I mean like 3 different 3 car trains, so 9 in total), But there’s I believe around 20 something of them in service probably at Franklin Depot or at Target Field depot, Some of the Bombardiers are sent to Louisiana to get a full scale reparations

Does Minneapolis have commuter rail too?

Yes indeed, currently just the Northstar line but it makes a solid station connection at the bookend of both LRT lines, at Target Field. Great for Twins and Vikings games!

Absolutely awesome shots. Love the dinky train at the beginning, potential student driver?

woah I didn't realize the city coupled 3 of these trains together. I always thought it was weird that they use low floor trams, but seeing how long they can be it actually makes a little more sense. I'd love to see this system evolve with more grade separations and truly become a little Metro network in the future.

Seattle and Phoenix runs 3 car low floor trains.
They’re quite good at forming a backbone for public transit.
