Been playing for years, have studied with great drummers, and I continue to play a bit, and travel little, I can't go full swing on my drumming because of my Job, but one thing all great Musicains say, Its about the groove and pocket! No need for fancy drum rolls, and out of time fills!! Jojo Always seems to catch my attention, his placementnis well calculated, and his groove is insane! If you cant bob your head within the first 1 min of this video your not human! :0)
Jojo is in a group called "Nerve." And if the songs are boring for you, you could always look up other projects he's done, like Depart. Same drummer, different setting. ;)
I hope he does more. It seems like he's been dabbling since '08 or so (based solely on youtube videos and when certain videos were only posted on www.drummerworld.com) but man, I really love his style applied to drum and bass music, and honestly, I don't even really listen to much D&B. I guess I'm biased because I'm a drummer, but I love hearing how this dude feels these songs; he just makes them look like so much fun to play.
Buy a black shirt and make one yourself. Can't remember what it is called. But it used to be commen. You put elastics on it and put it en the washer with something.. og something like that :P

But I remember it from the 90's i think. so must have gotten popular again back then. And maybe Rebecca here will start the trend again? :)
Jo looks sick I mean not healthy and yet the man can still play even while asleep or heavily doped? He also needs to shift to something fresh now like form a modern day big band hehe as he played absolutely perfect on that BR tribute big band.

You speak a lot about culture and the drums and drummer as the communicators of culture so adding African and Latin beats is the next step . Drum and Bass is already gone. Techno-Jazz and electronic jazz is making the people dance. I am learning quite a lot from watching videos of you playing.
