You actually installed the flap servos correctly. The others I’ve seen have the flaps moving in opposite directions like the ailerons do. I’ve been wanting to make one, but haven’t gotten around to it. Good job.. 👍
First time through I did have them opposite just like the ailerons, then I flipped one of the flap servos around, didn't show it in the video but talked about it. Thanks. It'll be really useful, took way longer than I anticipated having to video it all but it will be worth it. Thanks for watching and for commenting!
@@shanesdiy I would want to install the flap and aileron linkages under the wing so that I could demonstrate aileron differential by offsetting either the servo arms forward one tooth or moving the control horns back from the hinge line. But, I could just make a separate mockup that would show the difference in deflection.
@@txkflier You should make one of these test models, I'd love to see what you come up with. I'm sure you'd get plenty of use out of it for your tutorial videos. I haven't made any guide videos with it yet but already used it so many times to do a quick test of a function. Its been my tester for the new Spektrum AS3X+ firmware so I didn't have to risk goofing up my airplane setups until I get it figured out!
During the video I had an AR631 connected but the intention is to be able to test any receiver I want. I've had several different receivers wired up to it for testing setups.
Excellent tool Shane, makes sense to figure out setups with👌👍 Cheers from Switzerland, Andy
thank you very much for this.
Shane great idea and fun build. Jeff in LA USA
Hey Jeff! Thanks for stopping by and for your comment! Happy flying.

hi what receiver did you use?
