I wish all people from Taiwan could watch this as so many I’ve met know little about Kinmen aside from there was war. From the perspective of an American, find it interesting how many Taiwanese people I’ve met who don’t know much about their war history. I used to make many videos in Kinmen and would get come comments from people on mainland Taiwan insulting Kinmenese because of their closer relationship to China. Regardless of the politics, Kinmen deserves so much respect for what the local people had to endure and lose because of the war.

A laudable production! Particularly impressed by the presentation of stories and perspectives of two different generations! Bravo to the team and the resilient people who lived through and written down the history!

from January 12th, 1979 till May 20th, 1980, I served as an Army Second Lieutenant there.
I wish all people from Taiwan could watch this as so many I’ve met know little about Kinmen aside from there was war. From the perspective of an American, find it interesting how many Taiwanese people I’ve met who don’t know much about their war history. Kinmen belong to Fujian, not Taiwan. But you can said Kinmen belong to ROC.
