I'm exploring this software right now to purchase. I want to image our 2012 r2 server for disaster recovery. I copy the actual data files to 3 locations on the network, and 1 off, so I'm not too worried about loosing that stuff. We've spent a lot of money in the past 2 years for applications that are installed on the server, and if it was to crash/puke/die, or what ever, those apps would have to be re-installed by the integrator's. I've ordered some new drives to test with next week. The plan is to image the server, then remove production drives. Install "new" test drives. Same size, speeds, etc.. Then install 2012 r2 on the new drives. Install Macrium, and then restore from the image taken prior. Then see how she comes up. I hear a lot of good things about the software. I'm testing it now in a VM just to get the feel of things.
How does it work at the end, ie "booting from USB or CD, then create a backup of the data and copy this to an external drive" ? I don't understand how this is supposed to work...

I'm getting "Target disk does not contain a suitable free space area for partition creation" how do I fix it? It happened even after I formatted the disk
So that means all of my Linux data should be saved as well,and I should be able to boot from it in case anything goes wrong with the internal drive,and then I can modify partitions after doing the clone,because my Ubuntu partition is too small for me,and also because I won't need the Ubuntu partition on the internal drive anymore,I can safely use Disk Management to extend those Windows partitions to 500 GB each,which is the size of the internal drive

I tried to make a rescue/boot disk, it fucked around and then was attempting to demount my drive!!!! it damaged something and I had to do a restore with my Windows full image backup. I'm using Mini Tools Shadowmaker now, it's great. No bullshit adware or promo crap either, or nagging upgrade e-mails.
I have two identical Dell tablets. Does anybody know if Macrium software can be used to take an image from one tablet and clone to another? I assume I have to make a Bootable USB and put my image on the same USB using my tablet number 1. Then on my tablet number 2 I need to change a BIOS setting to "boot from USB" and clone my tablet number 2 from the USB drive. Am I making any sense here? Thanks.
There is a way,there is another video that shows how to hide the boot partition from windows using another program then go back to Macrium for ISOs or clones,used to do something like this using flopys disc for back up,if I can find the right video i will comment on the name,it is a little compalted.

How would I use this to get back data from a drive that won’t boot up to windows?

Until 5:26, it's all about basic installation, but then omits any explanation of all the create bootable media options...

Bllue Screen of Death can be a number of issues, faulty memory sticks or modules. Run a test on your HDD/SSD and test on your memory.
