I am interested to find out if they have 2 chassis and 2 sets of lift tracks. I find it weird how the entire weight of the lift is held up by the tracks. The lift tracks on the motor side hold the motor side hold up the motor, counterweight, and half the weight of the lift. Capacity 2000kg / 2 = 1000kg Cab weight 500kg? / 2 = 250 kg Motor weight = 300kg? Counterweight half the cab weight (2000 + 500) / 2 = 1250kg So that is 2800kg held up by just a single lift track. That is a lot of weight. I can't see that this could be doubled to 5600kg on a 4:1 MX20.
Ecodiscs don't want to stay at the pseudo floor. If you safety break it or take it out of inspection it will go slow speed there but then leaves straight away. You could use this to get a full speed ride ontop.

In my local shopping centre the 2004 ecodiscs have a normal voice but the otis 2000s in the Debenhams next to the ecodiscs do idk why they also modern indicator

Cool! Very Interesting! Seems a bit pointless to go for MX10 instead of MX20 but at least they have gone for an ecodisc instead of a crap generic lift. Shame to see maintained by j̶a̶c̶k̶ Crapson lifts.

playing devils advocate here think about how big this supermarket chain is this is standard across the portfolio yes 1 lift may be cheaper but if you have 50 to install for instance the savings will show themselves,
the asda store near me has THREE ecodiscs Just a shame the floor numbering is confusing in them -1 is the car park (which is also the exit) 0 is store level 1 is restaurant level (its more like a cafe, but the lift that goes to this floor says "restaurant" when it arrives at this floor) two of the lifts go between -1 and 0, the third lift goes between 0 and 1 both of the lifts that go between -1 and 0 have had the 0 button replaced with a G button (presumably the buttons broke or something) and last time i was there, one of the lifts had also had its -1 button replaced with a 1 (so to go down to the car park, you have to press 1, and to go up to store level, you have to press G)
Lifts are getting cheaper and cheaper nowadays. Lifts built in the 60s lasted 50 years. Lifts built today other last 20 years and sometimes less. Kones are good quality compared to their rivals.

Yep, Kone 4:1 MX 20s are pretty common among their high capacity lifts. In Australia, they're seen in the TranSys line.
