- I really have been feeling like I needed to get my fingers in some paint and have some fun in my art journals. I play with colors, textures and inks on these two pages. Enjoy!

I can completely identify with your story Helen. I started with art journaling and mix media. At some point I discovered junk journaling. And since then I haven't done much art journaling or mix media. Last weekend I really felt like messing around with paint and made an art journaling page. That was a lot of fun to do again. Beautiful background pages and images. TFS! ❤

Love these pages. I especially like the yellow ochre and midnight blue color combination background. Can’t wait to try it.
Thanks Neva. Yellow ochre is definitely one of my favorite colors to use right now. Dark blue and neon pink are tie for second favorite. Have fun playing and getting your fingers all painty! 💛🩷💙

Liz, it's been a while since I just let myself play with paints because I was busy making journals and doing collage. We have to remember to let ourselves get painty every once in a while. I felt like a kid again because it was so relaxing! 🩷🩷🩷
Such fun Helen. I always end up with cat hair in my projects too 😸 I’ve used alcohol ink with Yupo paper and solution. Great effects by blowing it with a puffer or straw. You never know what you might get 🤗
Hello Janine. I've heard about Yupo paper but I don't have any. That's why I was just splashing it on painty paper. The colors are truly amazing when they blend together but I think you need the blending solution for that. 🩷🩷🩷

Thank you Diane. I repotted my portulaca today but we're going to bring a railing pot up here and I'll plant it in that instead. I bought a pack with a variety of colors in it! 🩷🩷🩷

Debbie, my friend Birdie gave me some more suggestions on how to use them, so hopefully I'll be doing another video with alcohol inks in the next week or two! 🩷🩷🩷
The painty papers are beautiful. I have 3 alcohol ink colors 😂
I love using them with coffee - they take on a great grunge effect.
Thank you Annette. How do you use them with coffee? Do you splash on the coffee with the inks or use the inks on coffee dyed paper. I love the grungy look and would love to know. 🩷🩷🩷
@@MossCottageMarket I like to paint or spray the coffee on my paper and then drop on the ink. I like how they mix and spread together. If I paint the coffee on, I like a very wet brush, think puddles. This lets the ink spread better.
