It’s a pocket track. If the train needs to reverse ends or transfer from track 1-2 or 2-1 for single tracking or a disabled train on either platform in the traveling direction.
I love the MTA for how complex it is and how much it accomplishes, so it's still my favorite. But absolutely, without a doubt, the WMATA is the coolest looking transit system I've been to. I love the trains and station design a lot.
Yay i love WMATA
Me too
What metro trains, lines, and stations are your favorite?
Transporte número uno de Washington DC
Love the dart train bell at the beginning 😍😍

You should come and visit some Canadian transit city's like Toronto Montreal or Vancouver
You are absolutely right! Canada is high on my list! Specifically, I'd like to see the TTC T1s
@@NTxRE Ik im late but yeah our T1s sound the same as the ones in Dallas
Have u ever notice there is a middle track
Yes, I'd imagine this accommodates the longer dwell times that the trains experience from passengers with luggage
Thats for where the train ends

Everyone I know here calls it "reagan"
@@southwesttt5812 I confirm that most locals do call it National, Reagan is for the outsiders.

What In The World Is U Talking About It Is Called Reagan National Airport
