The DC Metro is one of the few places that actually has brutalist architecture that actually looks good

If I didn't already mention it enough in the videos, I love it too! I think the gloomy, rainy days I got while I was there, plus the plant growth around made for a great look overall. Very refreshing and cool!

Interesting tidbit on how Metro Center got its name:
“Graham [first general manager of Metro] held that it was better to make an imperfect decision than to tolerate delay… In one extreme case, WMATA [Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority] planner William Herman complained that the system’s main transfer station was badly named. He argued that ‘12th and G’ was both confusing (several entrances would be on other streets) and too undistinguished for so important a station. Ever reasonable, Graham agreed to let Herman choose a better name. ‘I’ll let you know,’ responded a relieved Herman. ‘No,’ Graham explained, ‘I’ll give you twenty seconds.’ Stunned, Herman blurted out the first words that came into his head: ‘Metro Center.’ ‘Fine, that’s it, go on to the next one,’ replied the general. And they did”. -From page 153 of *The Great Society Subway* by Zachary M. Schrag.

We commonly use a wheelchair symbol to show something that is handicap accessible. In this case, these seats are close to the door, and have plenty of room for disabled passengers. People in wheelchairs usually stay near the doors or in the middle of the train. Hopefully that explains it. Thank you again for your interest!
