These are my favorite type of videos, churchfront!
The lighting console looked to be onyx by obsidian control systems, or what used to be Martin M series. That is a fantastic lighting control solution. If there was flickering, most likely was due to cable spec not being true DMX so many times churches end up using audio cable for lighting, which is not great.
It’s possible that the lighting hardware could have been bad, but point being, that lighting software is a professional grade solution that I highly doubt was the source issue
We're currenlty remodeling our stage, adding acoustic treatment in our large brick room, and planning to switch over everything to Allen & Heath once we sell an organ (shhh). I would love to send y'all some snaps of the progress and see what feedback you have for adding or subtracting things!
Nice work Adam!
Thanks Ryland!
Nice video! Bmp 21+ is a great labeler! I personally use a BMP61, gives me plenty of label options.
I agree with turning the attenuator on the amplifiers down. However, I prefer to always have a system processor and the amps wide open while using the processor to attenuate. It's much easier to troubleshoot with customers over the phone that the levels should be up all the way. The only time this used to not work as well is when the amplifiers simply had a high noise floor.
You mentioned the Brady label maker. I was using the Dymo Rhino 4200 for a while and that works fairly well and is simply. Over a year ago I switched to the Epson LW-PX900. I really like the self-laminating wire wrap labels now that they make them in nylon. They have a full assortment of label options and the cartridges seem to have more material on a roll for the price compared to Dymo and others. For organizing the label maker, I use a Milwaukee Packout with custom-cut Kaizen foam. I was having transport issues with the Epson factory case and with the foam, I no longer have label issues due to transport (service van).
Very good
What is the benefit of going from an X32 to an M32 setup? I understand the pre's are different, but is it really worth the cost of upgrading?
This church already had both an M32 and an X32 - I configured both to be used in their new setup.
Where did you download the X32 layout for the Mixing Station app?
Hi!
How do we sign up for a makeover? lol. We attended the Churchfront live conference and were amazed by the sound among other things.
Check out the first link in the description and click "apply to join" on the landing page. Would love to help you out Danny!
What is planning center??
software tools to help you organize information, coordinate events, communicate with your team, and connect with your congregation.
It’s what’s called a CHMS or church management software. They have different modules like online giving, event planning, volunteer scheduling, children’s church check in, etc. in regards to the worship team, it’s used to schedule team members, send communication, and provide resources such as mp3 and chord charts.
Absolute game changer!

Sounds like you did a pretty good job of cleaning everything up but it also sounds like there was a ton to clean up and you still couldn’t get done in four days. With that being said if they’re having that much trouble and problems with just the rack and the M32c , if you try to throw a wing in there you might as well forget it because it is a real pain to set up and even if you were to do it for them it is an easier to mix Console, but if they ever want to change something they will be lost and or there is so much stuff you can change it will probably be messed up all the time unless they have a dedicated sound engineer that knows how to use a wing maybe let him use the app and move up to her full size X32 or Midas 32
The only way a Wing is a pain to set up is if you don't do research on the front end. Drew Brashler ( www.youtube.com/@DrewBrashler ) taught me everything I needed to know about setting up a Wing in just a few hours. So for this church that already has stage boxes and personal monitors that are in the Behringer ecosystem, it would be a breeze. That, and they could still use the x32 or m32 to run monitors only via iPad if they chose to do so. Nevertheless, suggesting a full size x or m32 (a decade old platform with no future planned updates) is not the way to go, IMO.
Edit: Especially since the Wing and M32 are going for virtually the same price nowadays.
@@JGoodin Well I’m glad you mastered it but most people have a problem with it at the beginning so why don’t we just get some popcorn and sit in the back and watch the show and find out who’s right or wrong
