What I like about the Brother LS14s is the speed of the foot pedal, I'm a beginner and ruined my last one by opening it up hahah but have banned myself from opening my new one, the speed of sewing is much easier for me to control. Your videos are fantastic Abby, thanks for posting.
Thanks a lot for the video. I'm a beginner & just bought this machine as the reviews for it were really good. It's great that you're using the same one. :-D
The uneven bobbin is because you are using the wrong thread. Because the machine has a vertical thread holder it needs stack wound thread such as the make ‘Coats’. You are using Gutermann thread which is cross wound thread which is used on a vertical thread holder ( you can buy a thread holder separately so you can use both types of thread). The way the thread is wound is very important to help with the tension on your machine which leads to tangling, snapping etc. So for anyone starting out then it’s important to know this! I am self taught( long before RUclips etc) and have spent 20 years not knowing this and when I found out the difference it makes is huge. Hope this helps anyone who is frustrated with their machine especially when you have followed the instructions to the letter and still it won’t work properly.
Great video, but when spinning the bobbin rather than holding onto the string on the top or then cutting it out, I found it easier to put it between the plastic slit on the top of the bobbin holder, and that spin into it too. (don't pull a long bit of the string). But yep, that saves you having to cut it or hold onto it.
I hope you can help. The bobbin that came with my machine, Brother LS14 will NOT click onto the bobbin holder. I line up the little cut out on the bobbin with the plastic thing that sticks up but it just sits there and won't click on anything, no matter what I do and the bobbin will not thread.
I've tried everything cnt thread needle only bought it yesterday been a nightmare I've watched so many videos and cnt thread very tiny needle I've threaded it correctly tho.

You're very welcome!
Now this is a very informative video, thank you for your explanation of this sewing machine .🥰🥰🥰
My thread keeps spinning underneath the bobbin? What am I doing wrong please?
Try to feed the thread in the tension spring, the little catch in the bobbin case
