Thank you so much! I've had this same sewing machine for many years and never attempted to use it. I got the machine out. As I was looking on your website. And saw that you done sewing classes. So I googled how to set up your machine, and hobbie craft came up. I followed the instructions and now have started to sew. Thank you so much. So easy to do.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS, I WATCHED A DIFFERENT TUTORIAL AND THEY DIDNT THREAD IT THE SAME WAY AND NOW IT WORKS FINE THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOUUUUUUUUU
Thank you very much. You are very helpful. I have had the exact machine for a while and today I am finally using it, but had no clue how to set it up. Thank you again.
Thank you! Your video really helped me because I didn't understand how to get the thread in to the lever in Step 4-5 and when you said to turn the wheel so that the line was at the top, I did and the thread went in the lever instantly.
Thank you for yr video, I cracked it with the bobbin issue inside the bobbin case and now I have great both tensions showing on my fabric. A big thank you 😀🧵🪡
I have used a variety of machines over the years, everything from a treadle, it belonged to my grandma. A second hand hand powered machine, various electric models, ending with a computer job that did everything except make a cup of tea. And I hated it. So I went back to a no frills machine. It (he) sews straight seams beautifully, has three good zig zags, and I am one happy camper. Needless to say threading was a doddle, even though I have never used a top loading bobbin before. I haven't tried the buttonholer yet, the one on my New Home worked well, the Singer Brilliance was utter rubbish. But then I am one of those who learned how to sew a buttonhole by hand, which I love doing. My machine is the Brother AE1700 by the way, so slightly different to the one being demonstrated.
Nice quiet voice. We'd have long conversations for sure! lol. I had a mini and dusted it off to fill needs for masks here, but timing stopped? wouldn't catch... got up before the birds sang this morning to get it fixed but lucked up and bought this baby! I thought there were no more brand new sewing machines left in the world. Looking to make this, along with my other strong interest, my Me-Time hobby and it would be great to meet others especially newbies like me who haven't sewn since jr. high home ec.( but this is like riding a bike plus I was a girl scout). So far, threading bobbins, this machine is quiet! Of course different from my mini " clacker" lol.
Hi thank you for a good instructions for sewing machine. But would you know if you can use a double needle? if so where would the other reel of thread go? Would it go on the bobbin holder?
Had mine as a present a year ago and still haven’t managed to sew anything I followed the instructions, the manual ,videos etc and I do the threading correctly but it doesn’t sew what should I do ?
Use the reverse lever (he called it "back stitch button") to back stitch (back tack) a few stitches as shown in the video at 4:20 to 4:40. Don't over do it as only need a few reverse stitches. Got the correct manual for you machine?
I am just learning how to do this, my problem is the upper threading always cut everytime i will start to pedal what should i do hope somebody can give me a solution
Have you found the problem? Many reasons for upper thread breaking: bad thread, old thread, bad needle, too thick thread for the size needle, incorrect upper threading. Got the proper manual for your machine?
Honestly really bad you keep on changing angles which is confusing and also you made me confused after threading the needle because one frame the string is hanging then the next it's looped into the machine plz explain
well mines fuking broke after only having it for about 2 months I've used it only a few times and then recently it doesn't want to do sewing. I'll sew for about a second and the thread desides to fuking snap so yeah fuking ten out of ten !

+Hobbycraft Hi it's me again I had to get mine replaced and the new one was working for like , oh I don't know 2 weeks and now the belt keeps coming of so yeah can't even move the fucking needle without the belt coming off every 5 minutes and when you go to fix it you have to unscrew every screw and take the WHOLE thing apart just to put this belt on. So again another 10 out of fucking 10 from me

Thank you! The only video I have found that really explains how to lift the thread from the bobbin 🙌🏻

Hi, i am about to use my new Brother this morning and this made me feel better about threading the needle. Thank you....

Brilliant video thanks!! I now have my machine all threaded up for the very first time and ready to go!

@@Youngerage122😂😂😂
Extremely helpful, helped me make sense of the booklet!
I have a go by focus on the bobbin into the bobbin case and pratise, learn as I go a long 🧵🪡
Thank you! This is exactly what I needed :)
I did it! Thanks again

Do u still like the machine or have u upgraded since then
Followed all the steps but needle won’t move up and down . The machine is brand new . Any ideia ? Thank you
Great it helped me set mine up !
Need how to thread a sliver 720d overlocker please help
How do you lower the feed dogs ( the feet that moves the fabric under the presser foot)
Where can I buy a needle threaded as shown in the video to attach to my older machine?
+Catherine Jones In one of our Hobbycraft stores! You can find your local Hobbycraft here : www.hobbycraft.co.uk/storefinder - Angela
You didn't add a nought to the thread, what's keeping the stitches in?
Use the reverse lever (he called it "back stitch button") to back stitch (back tack) a few stitches as shown in the video at 4:20 to 4:40. Don't over do it as only need a few reverse stitches. Got the correct manual for you machine?
Can I buy a walking foot that is compatible with this machine?
The foot pedal comes with it
my machine is not grabbing the thread from the bobbin. I have followed this tutorial 100%
did you figure out why? I'm having the same problem
Banji Chona no I haven't. It's really frustrating.
i had same issue its because you have threaded it the wrong way round
What do you mean by the wrong way round
Probably because you put it in clockwise and not anti-clockwise like it should be (:
really helpful thank you :)
Zigzags not working properly...what would be the reason? Is it the tension? I only had this machine 2 weeks. Zigzags works for 2 days then it stops.
Wonderful😂
You turned the balance wheel backwards? That's less than ideal. Turn it towards you, always.
I am just learning how to do this, my problem is the upper threading always cut everytime i will start to pedal what should i do hope somebody can give me a solution

Good sewing machine Argos brother One Oldham Argos Asma Shahzad England UK Oldham i like sewing machine 🌝🌝
Good
The bobbin thread does not go in that easily! Worst sewing machine for the bobbin catch but superb machine in every other way!
Mine came without CD disk
Honestly really bad you keep on changing angles which is confusing and also you made me confused after threading the needle because one frame the string is hanging then the next it's looped into the machine plz explain
great instructions but the music was unnecessary it distracted from the instructors quiet voice
