Welcome back to Lovebites ! This was the opening track to the Tokyo leg of their "Judgement Day" tour held last year, which will also be the concert that makes up their new LIVE LP "Memorial for the Warrior Souls", to be released on August 28. On the same day, the band will also release their latest EP "Lovebites EP II" with 5 new songs.
A new EP and a live DVD/Blu-ray both will be released on August 28. „LOVEBITES EP II“ will contain new songs and also a re-recording of the band’s debut „THE LOVEBITES EP“ for a limited edition. „Memorial of the Warrior Souls“ is the live recording of last year‘s Tokyo concert during the Judgement Day tour. It features 7 live versions of songs from the „Judgement Day“ album including „Soldier stands solitarily“. And also the pre-release „We are the resurrection“ which was the opening track for this show.
I understand the title ‘we are the resurrection’ in this way. Lovebites has given a new lease of life to metal music, which over the years has become musically poor (where are the solos?) and vocally inaudible (ear-splitting growls). They resurrect the old-school metal of the 80s and 90s, which is the best style in this music, but on a higher level. That's why they can say they're the revival.
