I used always be able to say "set a sunrise alarm for 7am" and it just worked. For the last few months I have to toggle sunrise alarm on on screen each time. Any ideas on what I need to say?
It's an odd one. I don't know if Google has been messing around with the settings in the background. The only official feedback now is to use the following process: 1. Set an alarm with the voice command "Hey Google, set an alarm for 6 AM tomorrow," or swipe up from the bottom of the display and tap Alarms > Set a time. 2. Turn on the Sunrise alarm.
Are you able to set and configure alarms for the Hub (2nd gen) through the Google Home app? Or do you need to be physically in front of the device to change alarm settings or turn them off? For example, if I leave for vacation and I forget to turn off the alarm.
You can definitely use Automations (previously Routines to create alarms) but the Sunrise Alarm functions are only accessible when you're using the device in person sadly.
Hi. So, unfortunately only the Google Nest Hub and Hub Max with the screens can do the Sunrise Alarm. However, you can ask Google Assistant to set a alarm that will use music or sounds with "Hey Google, set a music alarm" and the assistant will ask you questions about what you want to play at what time. If you say "Hey Google, set a music alarm on weekdays/weekends" It'll repeat for those days everytime. Hope that helps!
Would love this for my schedule. My biggest issue is lights on these devices when trying to sleep. Does the screen turn off completely at night? Any staus lights?
I think they should add the feature. However, worse still is the fact that cancelling an alarm using the app is hidden away under the audio settings. Plus my other bugbear is you can't cancel an alarm for a single day and maintain other subsequent days.
@@user-gm8ll5hs4x That would be great. I find I fight with my speakers and my phone if set my alarms by voice. They both try and set an alarm so a feature like the one you mention would be ideal.
I have a question, when I tried to do the smart light in my room, the tab in the sunrise section that says, “room lights”, is grayed out and I can’t activate or turn it on, causing my room lights to not turn on. Is there any way to make it intractable?
That's a really peculiar one! Apparently you're not alone according to the community below. There are no solutions at this time. My one recommendation would be try and include other smart lights in your household as an experiment. It will at least isolate if it's just the lights in the same room as the Google Nest Hub. My other recommendation is that you should relink your smart light account in the Google Home app to see if that helps. Sometimes there are service changes with third-party brands that don't take effect until you've relinked the brand account with Google Home. Hope that helps! www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Speakers-and-Displays/Google-home-sunrise-alarm-room-light-option-not-working/m-p/9603
I found a work around! All you have to do is adjust the Morning Routine in the Google Home app to play a radio station. Then when creating a Sunrise Alarm, choose 'Morning Routine' during set-up. Hope that helps!
I don't get it? What's the point of you telling the nest the time you want your sunrise alarm to start while you're actually trying to set a sunrise alarm which should start automatically with sunrise depending on your location? Am I missing something here?
Aha... yeah, it's just the name of the feature: It's meant to gradually wake you up with noise and light as if the sun was rising and gently waking you up :)
I like that even after two years you still reply to everyone's comments.
Thanks! If I can help, I'll always try to be available
By the waybro you have a beautifull voice for voice over
Thanks! That's very kind of you to say.
thanks for not actually saying "ok google" in the video haha
Right! It's a trick I learned while making videos from watching other tech RUclipsrs. Thanks!
my "room lights" button is greyed out, unable to use that function. please help XD, (i've setup my room switch to "light" already)
It sounds like it might be that those devices need to be reconnected. Maybe try that? Or restarting your network might help.

Hey buddy, can this be done with the google nest mini?
Thanks in advance!

Yes, you can. In the device settings under Display, you can choose to switch off the display during lowlight situations. Hope that helps!
i still dont understand why i cant set up a simple alarm clock for a google nest hub on google home app?????

nice video, is there anyway to put a custom sound as the alarm sound? downloaded music or sound that I have on my phone for example.
No, sadly there's no option for your own music which would be a great addition.
Can you synch with samsung phone alarms ?so you can add alarms through the phone ?
No, sadly these are separate to your phone alarms.
I am also looking for an Option which synchronises my google Alarm app on phone with google Nest speakers or other way round😔

(P.S. if u answer my question, Tysm)

Tysm, I’ll try that if I have time!
I cant seem to connect my room lights to my alarm even though I have them in my room? Any advice?
What brand of lights are you using?
This item does not support Radioalarm?? Even the mini can do this but not a Google Nest 🤔??m

@Owen Gallegos are you ok?
That’s a great idea though.
@@cursion420 srsly wtf. Did he had a stroke?
Try this command, OK Google turn on the light in 10 minutes 🏡
Oh, yes. That's a great way to do it too.
