Two weeks ago my daughter and I came across a 2 player Crusin Blast arcade setup at Lucky Leo’s Seaside Heights NJ, we had a BLAST playing it. Between that and the pizza and cheese fries from the sawmill, it was a perfect day
to this day always one of my favorite arcade games. nothing like the "clack clack" double tap on the gas to hit the nitro! The cruis'n series on the n64 is for sure in the top 10 n64 games.
This was difficult to find physical today for some reason, eventually tracked it down. Instantly brought a smile to my face, I was cracking up at some of the wackiness in this game. If I didn’t already have it you definitely sell it! It’s almost like booting up the remaster of Turok on the switch’s level.
You mean there’s no long tutorial, a million mundane side quests, 100 hour convoluted story? Does not compute… Seriously though, I bought this game day one and it’s mad fun! Video games today don’t know what games were originally about, and that’s fun!
I've been planning on picking this up since you first showcased that it was coming out. Too many unexpected expenses this month though. Hopefully next month. Thanks for showcasing some more of the game and giving your opinion in it, it really solidified how much I want it.
@Madlittlepixel The only downside is that you don't get to use the cars from the original 2017 version of Cruis'n Blast in the Switch version, especially the Corvette C7, the Hummer HX, & the Lamborghini cars: Aventador, Huracan, Veneno, Countach, & Diablo; similar to the 2020 updates to the arcade ones. Not to mention that the closest thing we'll get to driving Lamborghini Cars in Cruis'n Blast again is driving the Police Cruiser in the Switch game, as it strongly resembles the Veneno. AND, you can still see the Lamborghini Aventador, Corvette C7 Z06, & the Hummer HX on the picture of the game's are cabinet in not just the trailer (seen at 0:57), but when the "Classic Arcade" selection is highlighted in the game's main menu, too. However, hopefully if we can reach Raw Thrills with feedback, we can ask them to add all the 2017 cars (Especially the Corvette C7, Hummer HX, & 5 Lamborghini Cars) to the Switch Game as DLC, along with more new cars & manufacturers (say like Ford, Dodge, etc.), new tracks, & new modes like battle races (using power ups similar to Dirty Drivin'). And another thing, the Corvette C8 should get an UPGRADED spoiler when the body / chassis is upgraded, just like the Corvette C7.
I saw someone say they wished the game had 2 minute racing tracks. Compared to the minute or so tracks this game has. Can’t see why people want it longer it’s an arcade racer, meaning it’s meant to be replayed. I’m going to pick this up sometime
I like all the realistic driving games but nothing compares to an arcade racer for me.Never got to play this in the arcade but it arrived yesterday,and wow it's brilliant.Brings back memories of all the great 90s arcade games when the got home console releases.Wish Sega would take note

just ordered my copy off of amazon hoping they ship it soon! definitely plunked a few quarters into the cruisin' games back in the 90s, as well as a good handful into fast and the furious being the spiritual sequel of sorts too, so imagine my hype when the newest game was announced as getting a home version! definitely came outta nowhere but I can't wait to get my copy and tear up the asphalt on all the different wild courses! heard online play might come later, and there may yet be conversions of the previous cruis'n games in a collection, at least if eugene jarvis has any say in the matter.

I am loving this game, just pure fun, the way video games should be. I am hoping this game does well, then maybe we can get a new Excite Truck or Excitebots as those are wacky arcade racers as well.
Daytonaaaa, I like Crusin series in the arcade but I never care for it when it came to the n64. I wouldn't mind a new Outrun from the Xbox era. That one of my favorite arcade racer.
I really have to give major props to raw thrills. They did an absolutely amazing job on this!! As soon as I started playing I felt like I was sitting in one of the old arcade machines, that's how cruising USA this feels lol. I was so worried that it wouldn't actually feel like a cruising USA game when I was playing it but oh man did they f****** nail it!! Wild crazy racing jus like back in the day!!
Based off the raw thrills arcades from years ago, started with fast and furious, Tokyo drift, Super Bikes, Dirty Drivin… all have the same gameplay, and can be played on PC with the Teknoparrot emulator. Overall nothing really new here but a nice addition for sure.
Yeah except that the general public who may play these games doesn't know anything about emulation, cracked arcade game exe's, etc... Most people have no idea what Teknoparrot even is. That's why these arcade game companies don't worry much about that happening. Cause the majority have no clue. It's not a threat to them at all.
@@AzrialAlaria Good point, well I can confirm the game plays pretty well on the PC with emulation. I have a hacked switch as well so playing it on the go I guess could be fun.
I know Cruis'n is a Nintendo IP but I'd love to get this on PC! I have such great memories of the N64 games (with Cruis'n Exotica being my favorite racing game ever).
wish Sega or other publisher could re release another outrun game (with or without the Ferrari license), dynamite deka (or die hard arcade) game series and another metal slug anthology for switch (including physical copy).. that would be awesome..
I played it a bit and love it. Only downside I experianced is that skills don't really make a difference.. Now SEGA wake up and give us Outrun 2022 coast 2 coast
So...this isn't a remake it's more like a new game with bits of old mixed in. Okay, I will buy this as soon as I get home from work. I hope a remake of the original Cruise n' games happens without censorship or at the very least a re-release. Maybe a compilation that includes both the arcade version (USA and World) and N64 home ports.
I can’t find this game anywhere new. The game stops want to punish ppl who didn’t preorder and the game stops that do have it are selling opened copies. Amazon doesn’t have it, only a scalper on there that wants to make 10.00 on the sale. Best Buy doesn’t have it either. Looks like the only way to get it is digital download which id rather not. UPDATE: I was able to get the cart at Walmart. So now I can see some things differ from the arcade. The menus are completely different, esp in the arcade mode. The same cars you can play in the arcade are now all locked. Also the fun voice overs from the arcade which were reminiscent of HydroThunder and Crypt Killer have been removed. I rather liked hearing “Whoooaaa”, “Look Out”, and “Its Carnival”, it was amusing.

Looks nice, which I could afford a switch. My only gripe about some racing games is that no matter how fast you tale a turn, you can't slide off the track cause there's no drift, but I know its arcade.
I’d go as far to say this is a reason to buy a Switch. It’s licensed by Nintendo so it’s a Switch exclusive and it’s like you said just stupid, turn your brain off fun.

This reminds me more of Speed Devils on Dreamcast than Cruis’n USA arcade.

The tracks Are 2 minutes each. Only the 3rd race in each tour is about a minute long.

We had a good arcade near us but It closed down because of covid...It had a good amount of old school stuff too...such a damn Shame...

Personally I hate drift in racing games it breaks the flow of the game, especially if it spins you 180 degrees and you wind up going backwards!!!!😱😱😱😱
