Picture Quality & processing wise, yes, Panasonic are up there with Sony. One could even argue Panasonic edge's Sony. And i am sure with the new processing, gaming too will look the best on the market, even if the tv only comes with 2 hdmi 2.1's, annoyingly. Problem however are the insane prices, especially in Europe. $4000 for an 65 in tv, in 2024?!? You can buy an good quality soundbar like beam2 or something for around $500, which is more effective than the build in soundbar these tv's come with. Panasonic could get away with these high prices back in the plasma days when they ruled as kings. Now they have almost become a niche tv brand. Dont know how long they are gonna keep the ship afloat.

I hate how Panasonic fails to sell to America. I would likely buy and I know many Americans would buy, and even buy stock in Panasonic. Get it together like you do the TVs and sell to America.

It’ll be interesting to see what the improvements to the new mini LED will be over last year’s. He mentioned the introduction of the quantum dot layer but last year’s mini LED already had a quantum dot layer so that seemed to be a bit of an oversight by the Panasonic rep. I wonder if it’ll have more dimming zones or if the only upgrade will be the new processor?

Are any of these new Panasonic TVs going to have the "Freely" tuner built in to watch live TV over WiFi

That’s not going to change until they change the SOC that they use - it’s the same for most other brands, unless they design their own HDMI circuitry.

Panasonic tv made a big mistake leaving Australia , I would be placing my Sony A95K with a Panasonic flagship model. Still my Sony A95K is stunning.

Pretty similar, now Panasonic has same SOC ( chip ) as the A95L , their graduation and black handling will catch up. graduation slightly behind Sony , black handling in from of Sony ( I suspect ). Then it's just whose flavour you like. I think Panasonic is a little more purist natural, but many like Sony's processing which can be slight more stronger, can't go wrong with either. Do think Panasonic take time to get things more right . ie Sony still has some issues on it's latest . Probably ease of use, the HDR of all flavours work in most modes etc

Panasonic I've learnt nothing about design...

My current TV is a Panasonic. My next TV won’t be a Panasonic if they do not have a version without the built-in soundbar. Hopefully they see sense and offer versions of their best TVs without the soundbars for those who do not require them.

Surely you could still plug your TV to an external sound system? Missing the inbuilt soundbar a good backup

@@SherwiinatorI do not need it. I do not want to see it and I refuse to pay for it. So, unfortunately, unless Panasonic market an option that does not have this (for me, perhaps not you) useless appendage then they have lost a sale. Fingers crossed that someone at the company sees sense at some point.
