You ABSOLUTELY nailed it with Dream Theater. My all time favorite band. I would suggest future tracks: A Change Of Seasons, On The Back Of Angels ( Official Video & Song - Emmy Nominated), A Nightmare To Remember, The Ministry Of Lost Souls, As I Am, Enemy Inside ( Official Video & Song Emmy Nominated), Home, Octavarium, Pull Me Under & The Spirit Carries On ( Video & Song Live Scenes From NY Version). Thanks for playing this.
"Ytse Jam" by Dream Theater is an instrumental early in their career and when you spoke of the music telling a story, this was the first track that came to mind. However, as I'm writing this, a second song comes to mind as well. It eventually has lyrics (a hint at its length........) "A Change of Seasons". Both Dream theater classics. 🤘
T, the description you were looking for is a soundscape. My favorite of c theirs is The Count of Tuscany. One of the most beautiful pieces of metal I've ever heard
As my Number One band, this track was exactly what the fanbase has expected with the return of Mike Portnoy!!! My fav track is all of them...just kidding!!! Try "Pull Me Under" (the one mostly everyone started with) or "Metropolis: Part One" from their second album, "Images and Words"!!!

Count of Tuscany is probably the most accessible of all the epics for newer listeners. Also my fav =D
