If you like the grip on the 6700, add the SmallRig base plate. I had the A6600 and prefer that grip 10x over the A6700 because the dial on the front moves your hand down, and your pinky finder falls below the camera. With the base plate, the pinky has a nice rest spot. Makes it a lot more comfortable to hold and I can handle bigger glass. Just got the Sony 70-200 F4 MkII and its really useable without the tripod collar!
Trying to stay with APS-C lenses for my A6700 and love the grip. Makes the Sony E 70-350mm f4.5-6.3 G OSS really usable and I don’t have to put my 100-400 GM or my 200-600 G on it. Also makes the Viltrox 75mm f1.2 holdable. Also have a SmallRig baseplate on mine. Will say though that the new A7CR and its grip extension is as comfortable to hold now. Have that body as well and use slightly larger lenses with it.

Thanks. I'll have to check that out.

Wow. I wouldn’t think the A7cr would be that comfortable to hold. Good to know. Thanks for sharing.
I have nothing to compare it to, for better or for worse. I went from the A600 to the A6500. The A6700 is an evolution.
It really is.
pllease make a video using the a6700 with the samyang 12mm pleaseee
Coming soon!
Waiting for the a6700 + Tamron 50-400 combo🥹😁
Next on my list :)
