    This is just some feedback, it feels like you are rushing these builds, like you’re on a deadline. Also, once you finish a car, we never see it again, do you take them to a track, do you drive them out for coffee, do they go under a tarp, do you sell them? You build cars that people like but then we don’t get a chance to see how good the finished product is. I’d love to see an episode where you tested some of the builds against each other in some challenges. Your obviously great at what you do, keep up the good work.

      The way the cars just disappear does kind of suck but he is working on new cars.. but I do agree, I would love to see these cars get used by him and kind of create a solid base of a few cars he's built for his own personal use.

    Awesome work! I am also welding on a replacement quarter panel on my project a 1973 celica. Instead of tack welding the panel for test fitting I used a combination of sheet metal screws and clecos. That way you can pull the panel on and off easy to make adjustments and alignments. the holes from the sheet metal screws are tack welded shut. awesome work thanks for sharing your build.

    Great work. The wheel well liner isn't a structural component. If it keeps the water out and doesn't cut the tire, you're good. Many of the people that complain would never have the nerve or motivation to attempt something like this (and thus would never develop the necessary skills). I wouldn't worry about them too much.

    • @bobroberts2371
      @bobroberts2371 5 лет назад +8

      The people that complain are actual auto body / auto mechanics and yes, I am one of them. Even though the inner fender outer lip is going to be cut for flares, working with stock metal is always preferable. Take this series of vids to an actual competent body shop and see what they say.

      Others that apparently are not in the business head straight for language, " that is stupid ", or " that is junk " but don't give specific reasons to back it up. Did any of these peole actually watch the Arthur tussik vid I posted above? If not , view it and let me know what is different between between these repairs.
      For less than $ 1,000 extra in stock parts / labor, this car could have been put back into factory condition. Instead it is being patched together and as a result has lost $ 10.000 + in value. Yes, I'm aware that B says he will " never " sell the car, fixing it properly gives the option to sell in the future. Take $ from seats / BOV / body kit and fix the car properly then as $ becomes available do the add ons.

    Addressing the welding fire thing, get a water charged fire extinguisher. These are the 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 gallon silver stainless steel units. These can be refilled at home as most have a regular tire valve for pressurization. These units, unlike a powder extinguisher , can be partially used then stored leak free. It helps to have 2 so one is a full unit and the other a use as needed unit, this way you always have a go to if the partially used one runs out. .
