Awesome work! I am also welding on a replacement quarter panel on my project a 1973 celica. Instead of tack welding the panel for test fitting I used a combination of sheet metal screws and clecos. That way you can pull the panel on and off easy to make adjustments and alignments. the holes from the sheet metal screws are tack welded shut. awesome work thanks for sharing your build.
another tip I learned from old time hot rodders is after each weld/tack use your blow gun on the air compressor to blow the weld cool to the touch then move on to the next weld. takes a bit longer but no warping!

Did any of these peole actually watch the Arthur tussik vid I posted above? If not , view it and let me know what is different between between these repairs. Legend 😁
Personally I wouldn't worry about the wheel house. It's is going to be covered. Love your honesty keep building bad ass cars!! You rock
the tub looks like a 10 yr old did it come on.
Who cares it's his car
Tight spot welds, nicely done!
I've done tubs on a few cars, there's nothing wrong with that wheel well. Christ... You basically rebuilt the entire structure on the Z, and I don't think anyone really said much, did they?
If you get into an accident in that same spot, everything in there is fubar'd anyways. It's not like it's just going to implode while driving down the street
People are dumb and think they know everything. 90 percent of these people on here don't know how to change their own oil or call AAA when they get a flat tire... 95 percent of them don't know how to do what he is doing or have ever done anything close to what he has done. I think his work is awesome. I'll be honest, I don't know how to weld or fabricate but it's not rocket science. It will never be as strong as a factory pressed and welded body but like you said, it isn't going to implode going down the road.
No shit hey? The thing that I really admire about Chris is that he just jumps in head first. There aren’t many things that I’ve seen him hesitant to try or do.
You’re killing the game my man. Keep up the hard work, we all love seeing your videos and the progress on your cars
Wow you are really into alcohol miniatures aren't you.
Satnam Singh just alcohol
Alcoholic starter kits
Earnest Bunbury lmao !
Best youtube channel... very addictive! B is for Build is great
Just don't junk again, this time.
he didn't junk the 240z dumbass he said in a video he can't track i yet
Fixing the car your way is one more reason this channel is unique. Do what u gotta do bro! Kinda sucks u werent able to use the CF panel but im glad u finally got it taken care of. Best of luck!
So TJ took the car apart and then rebuilt it for the video?
no dumbass he brought the car wreak
@@pig1947hitman You really should be careful calling people dumbass there grammar professor...
Pretty much. He bought it, took it apart, put it mostly back together for the shop, then pays and sent it off to someone that actually knows what their doing.
@@pig1947hitman I was definitely talking about the fact that the car is put together in this video and then it was apart again in TJ's..... Have a great day though
Mat Wright lmao did he actually do that
Good to see the lambo in its original glory😂
B is for break
13:50 looks soo good! Awesome :D
Gotta love the peanut gallery. Heads up we have a bunch of structural engineers specializing in wheel wells in the group. Can you say “LOSERS...”
Ya ok buddy. Get bent.
It is literally shit work, that even an ghetto auto shop wouldn't do
Two clowns sitting at home jerking off talking shit about someone actually doing something. Typical.
Oh and I never shared my opinion either way. It’s not my project. If you don’t like his work don’t watch.
To Chris. I also watch those other guys who do this but I like your videos the best because you are more down to earth person also i like that you are in Oregon I grew up in California and we would always take vacation in Milwaukee Oregon near High rocks. Keep on building your are doing a good job!
StIlL It'S UnSaFe BrO!
Almost didn't spot it. well done.
Repair looks great Chris. Can't wait to see this beast run
So he scrapped the carbon fibre quarter panel then. Kinda a waste of money though even though he will get his money back from sponsorship and add revenue.
He got it for free
@@acoffeewithsatan it wasn't made bad. The panel wasnt designed to be painted. It was designed to show the raw carbon. And it was free so it's really not that big of a waste. He's spent more for less previously.
They shipped it to him for free
It's the "free" stuff that's the most expensive ...
Can't wait to see how it turns out. Thanks for the video
B is for Build or Goonzquad?
Both and I have a Car Rebuilds channel coming also.
You did all that work to those nice clean seats . . . . then you start cutting grinding & welding over the top em . . .oh boy .
That wheel well is just disgusting. 🤢
Danilo Junqueira and how often will you be on the ground with a torch looking up between the tire and the wheel guard...? Probably never.... actually nope, never
Amazing work Chris!!! Everyday I am waiting for 00. 00 a. m. because this is what time it is in Moscow time zone to see a new episode of this build!!! Keep on going!!!
do not chew gum in videos
Great work Chris 😊 finally you got panel , happy for you
I stopped pornhub for your new video Chris. My wife comes in and sees me watching your video questioning me, why am I "watching this instead of porn?" I must be doing something right.
Dude same
Same here man
I have learned a lot from this series of videos. Keep up the good work.
Never Eat at McDeath. People are dying. For real, look it up. As far as people giving you crap about the way you do things, so long as they are not paying you pay them No mind.
Lol, maybe you should read your own comment and stop giving people crap for the way they do things
@@slickmcwilly Maybe you should piss off. Like I care about what you have to say. Get real.
@@captainalant Tell him to "eat at McDeath" ... that would be fitting
@@earnestbunbury2103 What? No that would be Wrong. Good God. The Dude is out doing what he wants, and doing pretty good from what I seen. Better then You.
The amount of work that you put in your builds is amazing. Keep it up.
You know I just recently stumbled upon your channel. Honestly like right before you started this build in particular. And what I will say that I appreciate and respect the most. Is that you actually talk about the negative stuff in the comments and try to explain your reasoning. I just think that's cool man. Cos most people just choose to ignore that stuff altogether.
Nice job u doing over there.. I am 31 and sheet metalworker/carpainter for over 7 years now and someday I would like to repair my own dream car just like you doing here! Keep up the goodwork and dont forget the hollow section waxxx.💉Greetings from the Netherlands(Amsterdam)
it is a really good experience to know how we can rebuild a really damaged car or it will cost more than a normal car or not, and it's really exciting to know what will be the final result for this project. ignore negative people and continue what u started
This guy is badass I love working on cars every chance I get I work on mine every weekend trying to build it up little by little I dont got that much money but every pay check I buy something till my project car is done these videos inspire me to keep working on cars nice vid bro
Chris, I love watching the progress on this build. It makes motivates me to work on my R32.

Frikin awesome! Music sound level is fine, have heard worse! yes can we see the car perform on the highway dude! That would be somethun!! Huge respect for your builds.
I wish I can stop watching these videos until its done, but I can’t haha. Great job
Love watching this series. The excitement keeps building!
I’d rather watch the whole video without the time lapse. I would enjoy it more! Great work none the less. Loving it!
