It is really a brave song about people struggling with alcoholism. The Green Serpent is an Eastern European metaphor for alcoholism. (Tatiana has posted about her sobriety). She and the band have a lot of talent and I love the direction they push metal with their compositions but it takes guts to expose one's struggles. Great reaction as always.
@@jeffwellman2883 Oh wow, this takes this song to a whole new level for me, and I agree, this takes a lot of guts to put out there! Thank you for educating me and sharing!!
This is some of my favourite vocal melodic composition from Tati, & I love her extensive use of her *gorgeous* head voice to hit highs in this piece, a portion of her vocal repertoire that we've heard very little of up to now. The section you highlighted with the combined guitar & bass tapping with great tom drum groove is incredible, & I love the Opethy outro. Even the stripped down, simple chuggy riffs in the last two heavy sections are a welcome addition, as Jinjer fans usually have to struggle to head bang to Jinjer's weird rhythms & unusual, shifting time signatures (which I also love, of course). This is a *great* song, destined to be a Jinjer classic, IMO. They've already performed this song live, and it sounds great!
This song has quickly become my favorite for many of the reasons you listed. I’ve been playing this non stop, and now after learning from everyone the subject matter, it hits so deep! This band is something special
I´ve been a metalhead all of my life (I´m 50 something :) now) and when I found Ginger in the Covid, It was instantly in love with them. This is the best band in the world I couldn´t agree more with you :)
I’m so obsessed with! I randomly found them on a collab with 12 Foot Ninja and haven’t looked back since! I cannot say enough great things about this band!
I really think you would like the video they did with Audiotree called Jinjer From Nothing. It's a cool format. They do live session versions of three of their songs from Wallflowers and in between talk about the history of the band, their writing process and their friendships. Several people have reacted to it. You get to see them do their thing up close and the songs all sound great.
lol Green Serpent is metaphorically referred to alcohol in russian. Bitten by green serpent in slavic tradition is symbolic of alcoholism and the depths of intoxication/addiction.....as for the song, the opeth outro is cool. Middle LOG breakdown is cool. Also kinda sounds like an angular proggy album cut on first listen, but quickly turns out to be a banger😂😂.....also tati looks hot here 😂😂 Jinjer - Audiotree From Nothing (Live Performance)
Jinjer is one of the best bands on the planet.
I couldn’t agree more! I’m obsessed with
The compositional thoughtfulness equals “Jinjer genre”.

given the subject matter, i actually REALLY like that the outro doesn't resolve. very fitting.
It is so unsettling, but so fitting!

Amaizing track! Tnx for the reaction!
I REALLY love this track! It’s so moody, technical, and heavy both musically and subject matter wise

Great callout!! I’m still debating if I should react to it, or just enjoy it on my own!! I’ve heard amazing things about this performance!!
Jinjer being Jinjer... simply incredible!!!
Seriously, I’m in complete awe of this band
❤️🔥🤘
Rock on!!
Jinjer just continue to level up!
Just when I think they are max level, they take it up a notch!!

Love the references!! This song is such a masterpiece, and the subject matter makes it even heavier
Green serpent is an alcohol
Adds a whole new layer of depth to listening to this song!
