- This is how to replace the front struts on a Kia Rio using the old springs. I was able to use a normal socket wrench with 10, 17, 19mm sockets, a breaker bar, and spring compression tools to change out the old struts. The new shock absorbers are Monroe. This will also be the same for Kia Soul and Hyundai Accent.
Finally a video that shows someone completely taking the struts apart. Did you have to replace any of the interior components like boots, bumpers, or bearings? Doesn't look like you did.
Thanks, I reused all the interior components, but if I had to do it again I would’ve just replaced all of it. Taking all that apart was a huge hassle
I hope this video helps you change the front struts on your kia rio or hyundai accent!

Thank you, super helpful!!!!!
SO GOOD TNX
Very helpful. Thanks alot! 👉🏽👍🏼 Btw, what did the tool holding down the spring called?
No problem! It’s a spring compression tool. If I had to do it over I would’ve probably just bought the ones that already have the spring loaded.
@@EnoughAboutCars questión do u use the same Hardware From The Old Spring?
@@EnoughAboutCars Why would you not do it the same way? Sometimes the quick struts have inferior parts or springs that don't completely match.
Those spring compressors are also called widow makers. Im suprised its not mentioned how dangerous it can be.
