Bobcat is one of the guys that earned the right to be a legend. Guy had his own style and really made it work.
He really did, and it was generally enjoyable too
@@tomcattvreacts hi, first of all thanks for reacting to the police academy series of movies, always liked them, even the ones who ran out of ideas, now with that said and done the 4th one is the last movie that somewhat held it together, the other sequels are lackluster and dull at best.
Guttenberg is in #4 Citizens On Patrol and I love that one almost as much as 1 & 2. From 5-7 it goes downhill but still fun.
Cool, maybe I should do a poll to see if we should do the next one
@@tomcattvreacts Other than Police Academy, one of my favorite Steve Guttenberg movies is High Spirits. It's a laugh filled romp.
@@toodlescae People always forget about Cocoon!
I agree; #4 is fun. After that, it's kinda unwatchable.
@@MrKeychange idk, maybe we'll end up watching. After all this one isn't doing terrible on views
I loke the fact they use some many actors in the sequels. We already know the characters and its awesome.
I do like that too, one of the redeeming factors of this movie.
7 Police Academy movies were made and an 8th rumored to be in production
I'm very curious what a modern Police Academy movie would look like. Definitely won't be as offensive, lol
As for the temp being in C° back in the day banks would have signs that woild flash the time and flash both temps Celsius and Farahniegnt
Gotcha, you know what I think I remember that
10:40 You said it! 😄
😁 Thanks for agreeing 👍🏼
@@tomcattvreacts You're welcome! And sorry you broke your favorite cup. 🙁
Thanks for the well wishes, I've grieved and think I'll be ok
@@tomcattvreacts You're welcome, alright. 👍
Leslie Easterbrook who played Debbie Callahan was in all but the second film. Colleen Camp who plays Tackleberry's wife, is only briefly seen again in the 4th film.
Ok, cuz I actually really liked her. Glad to here her make another appearance however brief
Sam kinison was also in back to school a Rodney dangerfild movie that is a must watch
The More You Know!
4 is good. 5 is where it went downhill
Man, I keep hearing that. Maybe I should check out 4. 🤔
I love Police Academy franchise😄😄😄😄 thank you👍👍👍👍
No problem! It's been really fun! I've had some people say that 4 is worth the time. What do you think?
@@tomcattvreacts that's right don't forget reacts all franchise next time Police Academy 4: Citizens on Patrol
So we can move tombstone to january and have home alone as my second movie for December. Which could work out. I am cool with keeping it at 2 movies a month. So January can be Cowboy month with The Cowboy Way and Tombstone. Let me know
Well, Turns out I just watched Tombstone last night, lol
hightower is played by Bubba Smith

Idk, why I was confused initially 🤣
Thanks
The wave runners are mall for 1 person and stand only a seado is for multiple people more powerful engine and you can sit
The more you know... thanks . I literally didn't know that
I comprise a few of these sterotypes but I find them more funny than offensive. I grew up in the 80s and I am just used to the humor. There is a big difference between being comical and being malicious.
You're absolutely correct. Thanks for commenting 😁
I don't like a lot of christmas movies either
But one i do recommend is It's A Wonderful Life (1946)- (original black and white version)
I agree, I don't remember it very well. I do remember it being good but long. I could probably watch it again and it honestly be like new. Especially since I matured and have a more nuanced way of thinking about narrative and film in general
bobcat golthwait was in Scrooged
Really, I should really watch that again. I don't remember it at all
@@tomcattvreacts Elliot Loudermilk
I'm Facebook Friends with the Actor David Huband who plays the Richboy who Joins the academy.
Dang Really? That's cool, is he still acting?
Hightower is a hall of fame football player I know he was a Buffalo bill I think he was a linebacker
The man is a behemoth, lol
I know you said you won't be watching more for a while, but i hope at some point you do because 4 and 6 are my favourite sequels.
Btw i love the first 6 Police Academy films, but this is my least favourite of those 6.
That's good to know. Cuz I really wasn't a fan of this one
seadoo is a brand name.
wave runner is a product name from yamaha
Thanks for this, I'm glad to know.
Let’s go Brandon 🤓
🤣😂🤣😂thanks, I needed that today😂🤣😂🤣🤣
tRump still did the best worst Englishing EVER!!!
😂
And yeah after this one I dont remember much about the franchise. Unfortunately they squeezed the franchise for every penny it could. They kept making them to a point where we became bored of seeing them. Franchise never got an ending just vanished.
I'm sure we'll get a requel someday, lol
@@tomcattvreacts 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Personally the fifth and sixth movies are better than the third, the fourth and seventh are the worst imo, although the seventh has the ballet scene which is hilarious.
It's crazy the vast range opinions on this movies. Some like all of them, some like the first 3 only. It's such a interesting range. 🤔
@@tomcattvreacts The strength of the fifth and sixth is that the villains also play a nice role in providing comedy, esp the fifth, the third movie just felt like a "remaster" of the first while the fourth is...I dunno but at least the new "duo" is fun and in some way you could say it is the last PA movie starring Steve Guttenberg. The sixth has great balance between everything. The Seventh is a mess but the main villain and a certain someone are hilarious.
Since I grew up on the Police Academy movies (for better or for worse), I think the first six are all totally watchable. Of course the quality drops with each installment (they pumped these out once every year from 1984 to 1989 for the first six, so not really a surprise), but they're totally fine as far as I'm concerned. But part 7 is just so bad, I'd rather have a tooth pulled out than seeing it again 😀. And to think that's the one I saw at the cinema in 1994 when it came out, pestered my mom to take me. Yyyeah.
Also fun fact - I discovered a channel a few days ago on YT called @CultureSlice. He only has three videos up and they're all about the Police Academy franchise 😀. But the quality is really good, you should definitely check those videos out if you want to know about the "rise and fall" of this franchise.
Anyways, thanks very much for reacting to these movies, it's fun to laugh along with you 🙂
Thanks for the suggestion. Should I finish watching the movies before I watch that channel?
@@tomcattvreacts You could, but I don't think it's necessary 🙂. Those videos really don't spoil anything (if you care about spoilers in a Police Academy sequel 😀), they show some clips and give a plot overview, that's about it. They're more about how the first movie was concieved, how Warner Brothers milked the franchise for all it was worth, how the actors felt about it all and how the thing eventually just fizzled out and nobody cared anymore.
And as has been said several times in the comments, the sequels get a bit worse with each entry, so maybe they'll get too painful for you to sit through 😀. Of course I can't say, you might like them just fine, I just saw them when I was a kid so I might view them through a more positive lens. And if you do decide to watch the rest (please exclude part 7 for your sanity's sake), you'd I think be pretty much the only youtuber to react to any Police Academy movie past part 4, so there's that 😀
@@dodolurker lol, maybe I could break new ground. 😂
