recycling is a scam by the plastic industry to fend off regulation and sell more plastic, pretty much all the separate bins we put recycling and trash goes to the same landfill. there's some new lawsuits moving on this and even mainstream media has covered this though people have been saying it for decades. i think the microplastics is a real issue and we're all pretty much fucked lol we can do things to minimize it. we can drink from glass, get a reverse osmosis filter that gets fluoride+microplastics out of the tap. but no way to completely avoid toxins and poison in our food and air. all our regulatory agencies are infiltrated by the companies they're supposed to regulate like FDA and pharma. plus they want us sick and weak anyway so it's a win-win

bruce sucks. a white savior who runs a "non profit" headquartered in the US to help African children...right off the bat extremely sus. why not help children in his own country where childhood poverty is way worse than other developed countries? all the places he mentioned were targets of US imperialism, helping women of afghanistan was one way of sugarcoating our occupation. philanthropy is usually a racket or way to launder $ and africans mainly need the US to just stay out of their business, the continent is rife with natural resources, like south america, it's being exploited and sucked dry i understand the concept of his character, he's supposed to be the polar opposite of the gang, but it's just not believable unless you have a rainbow and lollypop view of the world and think people like bill gates are only acting out of the noblest intentions. i mean that whole cringe save the children routine, gimme a break. still a great episode don't get me wrong, but the writers missed an opportunity to make some of this social commentary and it would've been a nice twist for us to learn he's even skeezier than the gang.

Get ready! The first few seasons are good writing with a crew learning to light, build, and film their first show. Seasons 4-11 are when they really get in the zone and I'd put it up against any comedy series in tv history, 9-11 is near flawless chef's kiss stuff!

as funny as these episodes are, the show doesn't really get going until seasons 4/5 and then the golden era from 6-12

This is a very unique episode of Sunny. At this point the group was trying to decide how they wanted the world around Paddy’s to behave. Would the outside world be as insane and weird as the gang, or would it be more grounded and play the straight man to the gangs antics. In this episode they decide to give the world some zaniness, so you get the union guys messing with Mac, and the police officers harassing him and laughing at the end. Ultimately they wouldn’t stick with this formula, which many agree is for the best. This has been your IASIP factoid, I’m your Sunny historian, and I enjoyed your reaction. 😊
